With a bunch of shopping bags dangling from both arms, Marsha tiptoed her way through the main door looking left and right, as if afraid of getting caught.
She bolted through the dimly lit living room and just climbed on the first step of the stairs when she heard a cold voice calling her from behind.
"Where did you go earlier?"
Marsha flinched at Gracia's question, squinting her eyes as soon as the giant luxurious chandelier flashed on her figure.
She swallowed her throat and stiffly turned around, stammering with a contrived smile, "Ah, I... I was—"
"I saw you leave with Brother Clyde earlier." Gracia said as she strode closer with her hands crossed in front of her chest. "You should have told me."
The woman tilted her head as she scanned her sister's figure from head to toe, then squinted her eyes at the sight of a bracelet coiling Marsha's slender wrist. "Did he buy you that?"
