This one, she should have been killed, yet he cannot brainwash her. However, Harld is not letting go. He was pressuring her to submit.

“What do you think you are doing?” Rosa replied, but her voice quivered.

She could feel the pressure. It is as if pressure was pulling her down toward him. It would be easy for her to give into the rough voice as it shook her to the core. His voice was desperate to pull her into his mind. Rosa gritted her teeth as she tried to hang in there, for Harld was gaining on her, pressuring her with both words and the strength exerted from his body.
