Chapter 145

People die when they are killed. That was the reality. 

Raynare stares in despair at the empty casket. It was a dark one. She couldn't even cry, the situation hadn't hit her yet.

But there was someone else who was crying though, and no, it wasn't the kids as they weren't here. Neither was it Reiju as she was strangely calm.

The one who cried the most was Negan, he was sprawled on the ground, motionless as a pool of tears formed under his face. "Boss-man!! How could you die like this?!! Ahhhh!!!"

He was like a child, and anyone who came to try and get him to act like someone worthy of his position got zapped away. 

Reiju on the other hand was calmer about things and looked around. It was kind of depressing just how little people were genuinely sad about Max. Most of them were just here because it was required of them, and any time now they would start and try to revolt. Especially the members who used to belong to the Beast Pirates.

Amongst them, Queen had a greedy look in his eyes and couldn't hide the smile on his face even at the funeral.

Though Reiju was also a little surprised by a couple of people that were genuinely sad. Amongst them was Gion, a believer in justice that initially had made Reiju think that she might be a spy. Isuka was also sad, and her situation wasn't that much different from Gion.

"Oyooyo~" Queen strode forward confidently and lit a cigar. "Now, I am sure we are all sad here," he took out a napkin and did a fake wipe of his nonexistent tears. "But, we need a new leader. I think there is no one here more worthy than me."

"Hey, you fat fuck!" Suddenly Negan stood up and rose out of his stupor, he stared at Queen with a deathly gaze. "It's a fucking funeral, can you shut the fuck up for fucks sake before I fucking stick a big dick in your mouth."

Normally Negan wouldn't swear a lot, especially once he was around Max. But now, swear words that had been held back for years flew out like a bursting dam. 

With tears still flowing down his eyes, Negan's golden bat formed into a spear with a sharp edge and lightning crackling around it. His eyes had a crazy look on them, as he was still crying even while a huge smile adorned his face.

Speed=force… that was the general rule of physics. Even in this world, no matter how weak a kick was when delivered at light speeds it would be devastating.

Lightning speed was around 1/3rd as fast as light.

Negan threw the spear at full force, Queen seeing this was shocked and a little scared. But he had expected this. - 'Negan was someone who would never betray Max. So it was quite predictable what he would do next.'

He concentrated all of his Haki on his hand and mechanical arm, ready to block Negan's spear and show everyone he was the strongest. Queen didn't have time to transform into his dinosaur form, but he knew that his Haki would be able to stop Negan's attack anyway. 

'The fool, he is too distraught to even use his Observation Haki and see that he had no chance of passing through my defense.' - thought Queen, knowing that this was the best chance to kill off Negan, as he was quite dangerous if he was calm.

But suddenly the spear's direction changed. Shocking Queen, but it was already too late as the spear dug into Queen's eyes and it was too late for him to try and do anything as the man's brain was fried and he was knocked unconscious. 

Of course, Negan wasn't soft enough to let him live so the spear started rotating like a drill and turning Queen's brains into mush.

"Fucking Ancient Zoans and their durability, it's such a cheat," complained Negan, as if he hadn't just taken out such a Zoan with one attack. The spear flew back into his hands and he stared at the other Beast Pirates. "Listen here, if you don't bow down and cry right now… I will kill every single one of you."

That was all the incentive they needed, as everyone bowed toward the empty coffin and tried to force tears to come out of their eyes.

Fwish!!

The spear flew once again, this time decapitating over a dozen people from the Beast Pirates in the front row.

"You were crying, but I couldn't feel the emotion behind it. TRY AGAIN!!"

That day, over a thousand corpses were piled up like a mountain of death. Negan's rage wasn't quelled at all and instead, he just stood there in front of the empty coffin and stared at it with a strange look.

By now everyone else had left, even Raynare and Reiju had to go to the children. "Boss-man, you are really cold sometimes."

Suddenly Mero came to comfort him, but Negan just zoned her out and all she did was open her mouth and say nothing. She even pointed at the mountain of corpses, but once again, he was just zoning her out.

Outside of the Wano main waterfall entrance, thousands of Marine ships had gathered. Amongst them, some even had the World Government insignia on them.

Akainu was on the head of one of the ships. He stared at the waterfall from afar and sighed. "Right now, we must attack."

With those simple words, the ships started advancing and that was when suddenly the sound of a flute rang out and the giant koi fish started gathering. 

"Wow~ what an amazing ability, who is that?" Asked the soldiers. Even Akainu didn't know the identity of the flute user.

They were in a ship next to him and they had red eyes that resembled that of a hawk. Its gender was unreadable due to the long cloak and clothes, but by its delicate hands, it seemed to be a woman.

"What was her name again?" Wondered Akainu. "Im? Where did the World Government hide someone like her for so long?"

The giant koi fish gathered in huge groups and each of them obediently allowed the marine ships to hook into them with ropes as they swam up the waterfall.

Once they landed, they saw a couple of ships on patrol, Akainu smirked and pointed his fists at the ships.

Pew! Pew! Pew!...

Hundreds of giant lava fists shot out, destroying the ships and killing its residents within an instant.

"Tch, without Max these suckers are nothing," Akainu complained, and he knew that Max was the backbone of his organization. 

Without him, they weren't something that he wouldn't be able to handle.

Suddenly, there was crackling electricity in the sky, but there weren't any clouds. Akainu glanced towards the electricity and saw a body slowly form mid-air. He had a golden spear in his hand and a dark suit and tie as if he had just come out of a funeral.

The man's figure seemed almost divine as if a God was descending upon the mortal realm. Of course, that feeling lasted until the face formed and they saw the face of someone who belonged to a loan shark group, rather than a divine being.

"You fuckers, can't no one just wait until this funeral is over! I will kill all of you!" Negan's eyes were bloodshot and disheveled, he looked more like a mad ghost than a human. 

Twirling his spear, he pointed it straight at Akainu and got ready to throw it. The Fleet Admiral also became cautious as he gazed at the golden spear.

"That thing is dangerous," Akainu admitted and got ready to fight Negan, taking off his cloak. His fist heated up too. 

Fwish! 

Negan threw the spear, but suddenly, it stopped mid-air as within an instant Im was in front of the attack. She had grabbed onto the spear and held it, even though the electricity crackling around it would knock out anyone else, she seemed unaffected. 

"Wow, someone like you followed Max? I wonder how strong he was before?" Wondered Im with a voice as innocent as that of a child.

Akainu stared at the frail-looking person that he had been given by the World Government. "Who the hell is that monster?"
