Chapter 30

Wednesday

Jackson and I walked to Casey's house before school to check on how far she got with Finn.

"Any progress?" I ask

"If I had any progress I'd tell you." She said

Finn has been here a couple days now. But I have complete faith that she will fix what ever is happening to Finn. I hope Jackson does the same.

Jackson and I leave and we walk hand in hand to school. Casey hasn't been going lately. Her whole life right now revolves around saving Finn.

Finn is only in eight grade. Casey's brother died in eight grade, his bus was hit by a drunk driver. When she found him she was crushed. They weren't close but they where still family and I can't imagine how is feel if Sabrina or my mother where to die. I guess Jackson is trying to stay positive and keep his mind off of it much as possible.

Jackson and I walk into school. We get to our locker and I open it for him. We get everything we needed for the day. We separate ways when we go to our first hours.

Since Casey isn't here anymore, I sit by Gregg. Him and I have become friends. We sit there the whole hour and talk. He shows me a funny quote or two and I make up jokes about Mr Scott and his thinning hair.

Later on at lunch we all meet each other at the lunch table.

"You know Stephen James... Right?" Mandy asks breaking the silence

"Yeah."

"I kinda maybe-"

"You like him?" I ask kinda excited

"Yeah." She blushed

Then Lola did the unspeakable. She got up and walked over to Stephens table. She said somethings but I didn't feel like listening. He got up and followed her to our table.

Lola sat down and so did Stephen. Stephen looked at Mandy.

"So I heard for a little wolf that a certain hunter has a crush on a certain bad wolf." He says

Stephen is a werewolf. His mother doesn't know... But apparently his father was too and when his father died he told Stephen that he's a werewolf.

Stephen and I talk in history sometimes. He talks about his family and blah blah blah. But he knows about me and my pack. He hasn't asked to join so I'm assuming he doesn't want to join or he already has a pack.

Mandy blushes.

"What if this hunter where to take that ring off that finger what then?" Mandy asked

"I'd probably run." Stephen says

"Good answer." Says Nick as he sits next to his younger sister

"Thank you, I guess." Stephen shrugs

"It wasn't a compliment, I was saying it is always a good idea to run from her." Nick says

"Especially if she's pissed." Nick says

We all laugh. Stephen sternly turns to face Mandy again.

"So how about the movies?" Stephen asks

"No." Nick answers for her

"Does he always speak for you?" Stephen asked Mandy

"No, and I'd love to see a movie with you." She says

"Good, it's a date then." He smiled

"Good." She smiled

Stephen got up and walked to his table and sat down. Mandy's phone buzzed. She smiled so I'm assuming it's Stephen.

Then out of the blue my phone buzzes. It was Casey.

Adena hey I need some help.

I replied,

Yeah what's up, I'm in kinda in school right now...

I know I get that but it's Finn, I need a couple things from the hospital and I need Sabrina and another witch I found out what's wrong with Finn and to fix it I need three witches including myself.

Ok I'll help u as soon as school ends

Don't tell Jackson

Why not?

Because I need a calm and collected area and this spell may look bad and Jackson might freak out is all.

I put my phone in my pocket and continued to eat.

The school day went on.

Neil, which is one of my guy friends. (I met him in ninth grade.) Lola used to have this huge crush on him before she started dating Nick.

Jalen (a girl in my grade) and Neil started dating yesterday and Lola seemed pretty crushed when she heard this. But I didn't understand why she was crushed she has Julian. But it really clicked just now and seeing Neil made all the prices fit. She still likes Neil. I guess he's kinda her first love and you never heal from that wound created by it.

Neil sat next to me in history today.

"Hey what's up?" I ask

"Nothing much, I'm just kinda torn." He says

"Between?" I ask

"My ex and Jalen." He says

"Oh." I say

"I have no idea what to do." He says

"Well I'm kinda a mute at this point." I say

"Why? I need someone to help me and I'm not sure what to do." He says

"Why are you asking me?" I ask

"Because you always give helpful advice." He says

"What did I help on before?" I ask

"When I needed to talk to you about my sister and my problems between her and I, you didn't deliberately tell me but you just said something that gave me an idea." He said

"Well I guess you should just go with what your heart says on this one." I say

"But I don't know what my heart says." He sighs

"Well that's the first step, figure out what it's telling you." I say

"Thank you." He says

"What are we even supposed to be doing right now?" I ask

"Reading." He says

"Oh." I say

We continued the hour and read. We finished reading in no time.

"So how are you and Jackson." He asks

"Good, we're good." I say

"That's good, you two are cute together." He says

"Thanks." I smiled

"You know, I think I should break up with Jalen, I don't even know what I was doing... Sure I like her but I need someone who isn't a complete slut... Someone to dye my hair with... Someone who gets me." He says

"Who?" I ask

"My ex Nicole." He says

Why? No that's not what I was saying at all! I was saying break up with her ass and then find someone besides Nicole or Jalen. I'm so done today!
