Chapter 4

The day went on, as it did classes got more and more boring. I somehow managed to stay awake in Algebra II but I wanted to stab my self. I had that class with the brothers Bennett and Theodore.

The teacher reassigned seats... And guess who I got to sit by. Bennet and Theodore Lykaon. But Bennett likes to be called Ben and Theodore prefers Theo. Just great.

"So I heard about the wolf, I might know who bit you." Says Ben

See normally I'd freak out, but you know what I need answers and these guys seem to have them.

"Who?" I ask

"An alpha by the name of Becky Lupe." Ben says

"Where can I find her?" I ask

"You don't find her, she finds you... We're apart of her pack too she's our aunt." Says Ben

"Why me?" I ask

"I don't know maybe she saw something in you." Said Theo

"Mr. Lykaon and Mrs. Parker am I interrupting?" Asked Mr. Scott

"Actually sir, you are." Said Ben

"Hallway now." Said Mr. Scott

Ben got up.

"You too Mrs. Parker." He said

I got up and walked out with Ben. Mr. Scott soon joined us in the hall.

"Not even three days you've been here and you're already talking to my best student, she won't let you cheat." Mr. Scott said

"Yes sir." Ben said

"I won't sir." I say

"Get back into class the both of you." He says

Ben and I take our seats.

"What was that?" I ask

"I just went with it." Ben said

After math ended I had gym, also with Ben and Theo. I got changed and waited for Coach Nelson to be done with attendance.

"Today class we will be inside, so we are going to play volleyball... Stacy, Vanessa please set up the nets please." Coach said

Volleyball was my worst sport and everyone knew it. I was picked last for the teams. I took my position and the ball was served right to me. I missed it completely. Lola ran up to me and suggested I got my eyes checked.

"Great job, Adena." Stacy snickers

I rolled my eyes. I looked over at Ben and Theo who apparently where volleyball Champs. The ball came to me. I hit it over the net and it hit Stacy on the head.

Everyone started laughing. But then I realized they were facing Stacy. I laughed along. Coach came in and saw we were all off task.

"Hey reset the game." He said pointing at our net.

Everyone got back into position. The ball came to me and I hit it over the net and it hit Stacy again.

"Great job Stacy." I say

She gave me a dirty look. Then Ben walks over to me.

"I guess you learned how to really focus on an object... Your learning pretty fast." Ben smiled

He ran back over to his team. Perks of being a werewolf I guess. The ball came back over and it hit Stacy again. Everyone on my team gave me a high five. I guess this is what it feels like to be popular.

By the time class ended my team had more points than the rest of the other teams. And there are six of them all together. Ben and Theo's team came in second.

"Adena all of the sudden got good at volleyball." Said Stacy rubbing her head

"I know, like what the hell?" Asked Vanessa

Vanessa was kinda like Stacy's mindless dummy. She followed her around like a lost puppy. It was really quite sad.

Once I got out of the dressing room I waited by the door. A lot of the people on my team gave me high fives and said how good I was.

Life was starting to look up for me, until history. Today our class was learning about the legends of Hunters Hollow.

"Hello class today we are learning about the history of Hunters Hollow," said Mrs. Carter

Everyone groaned.

"Anyway, back in 1856 our town was starting to get more industrialized, and then came crisis... Things went bump in the night, most blamed it on industrialization because it was the curse brought on them by God. And others just thought of it as it was, the supernatural-"

I wanted to jump out of the window just to get away from this boring lecture. I looked behind me to see Mandy. Her eyes looked clouded. Her desk looked as if she was about to snap it in half. Ben and Theo looked worried.

"Should I be worried?" I whispered to Ben

"I didn't know there where hunters in this town." Said Theo

"Are you seriously this dumb... The town is literally called Hunters Hollow." Said Ben

"What do you mean hunters?" I ask

"Theodore, Bennett, and Adena are you even paying attention?" Asked Mrs. Carter

"Yes." Said Ben

"Oh really?" She asked

"What is it with you teachers and your ability not to trust us?" Asks Ben

"Your teenagers." She replied

"Okay you got me there." Ben says

"Okay anyway Ben, what have I been talking about?" Asked Mrs. Carter

"The history of Hunters Hollow." Ben replied

"Yeah and what about it?" Asked Mrs. Carter

"Hunters." Ben said

"What about hunters?" Asked Mrs. Carter

"They where made by Zachariah Ports, he was a scientist who hated all supernatural beings including witches so he chemically enhanced humans into hunters who had no control over themselves when around the supernatural, the hunters slaughtered supernatural and that was the bump in the night... Families found their dead children, husbands, and wives in the woods near our school, and that of course was before this school was a school, before a school this was Ports lab... No one knew why their loved ones where dying they knew they where supernatural but they didn't connect the dots between all of the murders." Ben said

"Well said." Mrs. Carter said

"See Mrs. Carter, I can be trusted." Says Ben

"Sure Mr. Lykaon." She said sarcastically

School ended and Mandy kept following me. Her eyes clouded. I ran through the woods to my house. I slammed the door shut. And ax hit my door and was just inches from my head.

"Sabrina!" I yelled

"Yeah?" She asked

"Run." I say

"Where?" She asked

"Do you know Casey maxwell?" I ask

"Yeah?" She asks

"Her house, go now!" I say

She opens the back door and runs to Casey's house. I move from the door and it bursts open. Mandy ran towards me. I darted out the back door, I started running to the woods.

Casey came out of nowhere. She took my arm and we appeared at her house. Sabrina was standing in the middle of Casey's living room. She looked afraid. That's the first time I've ever seen my older sister like this.

"Is Mandy a hunter?" I ask Casey

"Yeah, here I had a feeling you'd need this." Casey said handing Sabrina and I a ring

"What does this do?" I ask

"Keeps hunters off your back." Casey said

"Why is my stone green and Sabrina's black?" I ask Casey

"Black protects witches and green protects werewolves." Casey said

Sabrina and I both look at each other.

"I was going to tell you." She said

"I was too, but I just figured it out like today." I say

"Here are two rings for Theo and Ben." Casey says

"Thanks." I say

"You might wanna go home and replace that door before your mother sees it." Casey says

"Good idea." Says Sabrina

Sabrina and I run home and take care of the door we tidy up the place so it looks like nobody tried to kill us. Sabrina and I sat in the couch and watched some tv.

The door opened...
