Chapter 19: Dibs on Jack

By the time Cassie got home, Eryn was already in bed, so she couldn't ask when Ben would be coming home. She might be missing him.

Hmmm.

Then again, it could be her slutty hormones that were missing him.

Exhausted, Cassie crawled over the boxes and bags of clothes that crowded her room and plopped into bed. Thoughts of her rendezvous with Ben crept into her mind. Mostly, she hoped for a repeat performance. Snuggling under the blankets, she continued to reminisce until dosing off.

Cassie woke early and headed to the kitchen for coffee. She was happy to find Eryn at the table enjoying hers. "Hey, how did yesterday go?" Eryn asked.

"Not so great. I might have a lead, but I have no idea where it's going." Cassie didn't want to discuss her psycho vengeance antics.

"I was referring to your visit to the house, and you know it." Eryn glared at her, knowing Cassie was intentionally avoiding the topic.
