Chapter 1The Return of the Young Duke

As the magnificient car glided through the peaceful streets, an air of tranquility enveloped the surroundings, quitely opposite to the turmoil brewing within the walls of the Dukedome. As the heir, having returned victorious from a harrowing war had caused a frantic scene in the mansion where servants and butlers nimble within their feet hurriedly lined their selves infront of the stately romansque.

*Beep! Beep!*

When the black vintage car approached, the grand gates swung open, revealing the magneficient estate and a gathered servants.

"Welcome home my lord, your valorous return has gave-

-Where's father?"

Cutted by the young man as he fix the tie in his collar seeing his father the Grand duke was nowhere to be seen in the crowd.

"Ahem!"

The guy with a wrinkled face in a liveries had cleared his throat before he raised his gaze to the young duke who's face was seemed so out of their world with a perfect feature of a noble man in a regal attire.

"Allow me to guide you towards the Duke my Lord."

He stated as the man walks in captivating poised of majesty.

As he struts towards them, the servant especially the ladies had their eyes secretly fix on him, stealing glances on his face, covered with lust and greed.

As soon as they entered. He was immediately welcomed by a marbled statues and furniture in the hall that was arranged exactly as he remembered.

"Ha- *He scoffed.*

" Is time stands in this place?."

The butler stopped and scan the sorrounding.

"Would you like me to add some decorations to your liking?"

He kindly requested as the young duke form a smirk on his lips leaving him confused.

"It does not matter."

He paused.

"Even if this place were to be covered into gold, the people who dwells in here will be still rotten to the core!"

He affirmed as if he intently states it to be heard by a man in a fourties sitting in the long end of a rectangular shaped table with grace of authority.

"You have arrived."

He states in a nonchalant tone as he looks at him with a cold piercing eyes.

He then reached his hand giving the newspaper to the butler while the other servants prepares a sumptous feast, ignoring the acidic words from him.

It was just a minute that pass where he sitted on his sit to eat, seeing his father wipes his mouth to speak he already knew it was nothing worthy to hear.

"You're going to the temple tommorow."

He insist.

"For what?!"

He questioned without hint of interest, and hearing it. The Duke's frown.

"Do i have to remind it to you every time you arrived?!"

"Receiving blessings from the temple is a good benefit for you, THANKS! to the GOD that you've always look down upon that you're still here. BREATHING!"

He scoffed.

"If there is even a God then why is there a war?! Did he likes enjoying his sheperd shedding blood?!"

"Sebastian!"

His voice echoed in the dinning hall.

"You have no right to say that!"

He smirk.

"And you have?"

Seeing his father's hands tremble in anger with his jaw clench together, he continous to rant his mouth while Sebastian just looks at him straight into his eyes.

"You keep talking about the God you cannot see but how about mother?!"

"Have you ever notice her?!"

Stating it his fathers face was contorted in anger like a bull that was about to charged.

Especially after mentioning the Grand Duke's wife who he had already forgotten its existence.

"Leave! If you've done eating!"

The Duke warned, looking really piss especially after hearing those words from his mouth.

"I will leave without being ordered. I already lose my appetite!"

As he states it, Sebastian walks straight towards his room with a fierce look on his face as if he were accustomed to such occurences whenever he meets with his father.

"HA-"

He sighed as he remove the regal clothing on his body revealing the uncountable scars tattoed on his skin especially the fresh-bleeding wound on his right arm that was covered in bandages, submerging himself in the tub filled with water infused with herbs, prepared by the servants.

What much worse than the prickly pain he feel on his arms was that whenever he closes his eyes to relax at the tub was a bloody, echoing voices of screaming people he killed in the war.

And as he tried to opens his eyes....*THUD!*

He unmistakably heard the door in his room shut silently, that even how the knob of the door clicks was all clear to him.

'Now, what kind of peasant dare to enters my room?!"

He immediately rise from the tub, covering himself with robe as it reveals his muscular chest carved with a scars.

And just as he stepped out of the bathroom, he sense a shadow passes behind him, surrounding the room with an eerie feeling....When all of a sudden....

"AH!"

Sebastian heard the lady grunted as he firmly held her wrist just as before it touches his bare skin.

"How much did she pay you this time?!"

His eyes flared in anger as he swiftly propelled the lady who's wearing a thin clothing, revealing her bare skin right straight to the floor.

"I want you my lord!"

The lady affirmed kneeling, trying to touch even his feet while Sebastian just wears a disgusting look on his eyes with a paired of frowning brows.

"Leave."

He then throws a bag of gold to her.

"No-no! I'm willing to do it even without being paid!"

"LEAVE!"

This time, his voice was firmed and cold that left the lady no choice but to hastily flee towards the door clutching a bag of gold in her hands while Sebastian clenched his fist against his chest, struggling to catch his breath that even the veins from his hands almost pop out as he held onto the canopy of the bed in his room.
