[NOUR]
"—Alanor was the love of my life and sadly, I wasn't his…Fate is a cruel bitch, don't you think, Omega boy?" Grant said and it took everything in Nour not to wake up and strangled his mate.
'Oh goddess, can't I have someone else?' Nour wished though he knew it was a desperate one that would never come true.
"I know you can hear me, omega," Grant said and Nour didn't move. He didn't even bother slowing down his breaths again. Instead, this time, he increased his heart rate, so it would seem like he was scared shitless of his mate.
"Wake up little boy," Grant added and Nour wanted to strangle him.
Perhaps he would find a way to tell Alanor that he had taken the life of the bastard that was making his night a nuisance, right? Besides, it wasn't like Alanor would ever harm Nour in any way. Even if he tried, Delbert would never let him. Ever.
"Why? What is it this time? It's fucking midnight and you're drunk off your ass. You reek of the whores you already slept with and you sound like fuck baby. What the hell do you want from me, MATE?"
Nour knew he was wild for what he did. His house had just one room that had been separated by a curtain and with Grant coming in, he knew that everyone had stood by the door to listen to what the hell was happening.
They were sadly aware that if Grant wanted to visit Nour in silence, then the omega would have respected the enforcer. But then there was no respect here. So Nour didn't feel the need to show any.
"What did you just say?" Grant asked and Nour figured that he had blown his cover as the silent mate. He could as well be the mouthy omega that everyone knew him as.
Besides, it would have been stranger if he didn't fight back when he was always fighting anyone and everyone he could on any other regular day. It was safe to say that Nour was a wild one but was he, when it was nearly dawn and his mate had come to him like that?
"I said you need to fucking leave. This is not your zone. Look, I get it. You are my mate, but coming to me smelling like another man isn't exactly how I want to be spending my mating night.
"So, get up and leave, before I make you," Nour said, whispering the last bit ever so slowly.
However, the warning was clear in his voice. It wasn't the voice of the omega who was always at battle, but the voice of a really fed-up Ruby wolf who was a little too close to strangling the man he was mated to.
At least he could mourn a mate rather than having to deal with a whore for a mate, right?
"You dare kick out a royal enforcer?" Grant asked disbelievingly. In all his time as the Acrod enforcer, he had never been met with this. And perhaps that was also why he didn't say much, but stood and left the house in silence.
For someone who had walked in with so much anger and rice, his leaving in silence was louder than the chaos he had caused.
"Go back to your fucking houses. The show is over. You can wait for me to be rejected tomorrow and have your joy then. Until then, fuck outta here before I spray your dumb faces with wolfsbane," Nour warned.
He was so done with them.
He just wanted to get some sleep. That was the only thing he needed. And yet it seemed like he couldn't even get that. What the hell was he supposed to do?
"Nour—" Anhora said to his best friend, but Nour just sighed.
"Not tonight, Anhora, please," Nour said defeatedly and Anhora knew he needed to be alone.
One by one, everyone left and went back to their houses that didn't have broken doors, leaving the young wolf with a lot of anger. He was frustrated by the happenings of the night, that he wasn't even sure he would be himself until the morning came.
Of course, he was somewhat sure that nothing would change for him, especially given he had sent his mate away. He was not even scared of the repercussions, because his whole life, he had been rejected.
So, another rejection from his mate didn't seem so bad. Sure, it would break his heart, but it wasn't like he could save himself from what was coming, right?
The winds were blowing harshly and Nour knew he couldn't stay in his house anymore.
He couldn't be there in the cold, when there was a room that was meant for him, one that he had promised he would go to in case he was feeling low, and right now, he knew he had to go there before he broke a few undeserving necks.
He wasn't a monster, and he didn't want to start being one tonight.
However, if he stayed here and focused on his anger, he knew he would go on a murdering spree and ruin lives worse than his. The beast of the midlands was already a fear of the people of the midlands in the night, so he didn't want to add to their troubles.
"I guess I got to go then?" Nour whispered defeatedly as he looked between his missing door and the castle that was staring at him in the distance. He had always been invited, but he never paid any attention. Perhaps tonight would be the first of many, right?
The walk to the palatial castle wasn't a long one for Nour, because he was motivated by anger and each step he took reminded him that he needed to control himself.
He had smelled Delbert following him and he knew that the Lycan was trying to make sure Nour didn't deviate and go to kill his mate. But then if Nour had wanted to, not even Delbert would stop him.
When he reached the big royal castle, Nour whispered a 'thank you' in the night, or maybe, it was for the Lycan who had been walking with him, keeping his distance as if to remind the young wolf that he was never going to be alone.
"You're never alone. Goodnight, Burda," Delbert said before he walked away, once he was certain that Nour had gotten into the palace.
"Hello Ferhat," Nour greeted the warrior at the palace entrance, a man who had been put there for the main purpose of making sure that Nour was welcome if he ever chose to come to the palace.
"You came, son," Ferhat said, as he hugged the young omega like he had missed him for years. Well, it wasn't that hard to tell that Nour never came to this side of the kingdom. After all, omegas weren't allowed here.
"Don't get used to it," Nour said with a laugh as he returned the hug. The whole day had been stressful and even at night it was the same. Ferhat knew Nour so well and he knew that if he chose to come to this side of the realm then he truly had no options.
"Oh, son. Go on. Get some rest. You can meet him tomorrow."
"Ferhat, what if I give you a name tonight—"
"I'll execute them without question," Ferhat said and Nour smiled before he walked in.
"Expect one soon."
Nour is definitely better than me lol. I would have broken a few bones lol
