Soldiers of Time.

CH0: THE EVENT.

Six soldiers surveilled a building from a distance. They saw a Caucasian man and two African men exchange handshakes and enter the building. One of the African men was wearing a suit while the other was garb in a traditional Northern Nigerian attire with a headscarf around his head.

"Alright. All players are on the board. Let's get ready to move." The team leader of the group of soldiers said. He turned to his team. "First, we'll rescue our guys then make a play for the objectives."

He looked around. Seeing nobody raise any objections, he continued,

"We have to act fast. Bravo 3, Bravo 4. both of you should go set up at the elevated ground behind the building. It should provide enough cover and vantage for you." They both nodded and left.

"Bravo 5 and I will infiltrate the building and rescue our people. The moment we do, I want both of you to attract their fire to the front of the building. Make sure nobody leaves." Bravo 1 instructed Bravo 2 and Bravo 6, who nodded in acknowledgement. They were on a clock. The four checked their weapons and gear.

"Bravo 3 (Bravo 4) in position."

"All right, Copy. Cover us. We're moving"

The building was surrounded by a 2 meters high fence. An Underground garage entrance was located at the back of the building.

Bravo 1 and Bravo 5 made their way along the side of the fence to the back of the building. Bravo 1 nodded to Bravo 5 and they scaled over the fence. The duo made their way into the building through the garage entrance.

Once in, they saw two hostiles. They silently took them out and took their guns before moving on.

They moved forward a bit and saw a staircase. On the other side, they saw two guards standing in front of a door. Since Bravo 4 and Bravo 3 had not reported any sightings of Alpha team, the duo figured they might be on this underground floor.

Just as they were about to act, Bravo 1 and Bravo 5 heard the shout from familiar voices. It was the voices of the Alpha team members. Although Bravo 1 didn't want to be hasty, he knew something must have happened.

'We need to hurry. We don't have a choice we have to take the risk' Bravo 1 thought,

"We have to move fast. Sidearm" Bravo 1 said to Bravo 5.

They switched to their suppressed pistols and made their way over to the door while maintaining cover. They got close enough and aimed.

They both shot one guard each in the head. The guards fell back on the wall and slide down which reduced the sound of them falling. They quickly moved to the door.

"Cover me." Bravo 1 said.

Bravo 1 gently and silently opened the door a little while Bravo 5 switched back to the rifle. Holding a pistol with one hand, Bravo 1 counted down with the other. The moment all fingers were brought down, they breached the room. They saw an East-Asian man raising his knife. Bravo 1 quickly shot the man in the leg, causing him to fall to the ground and drop the knife, while Bravo 5 made sure there were no other hostiles in the room. Bravo 1 quickly walked up to the man and kicked him in the face when he was reaching for the knife. About to finish him off, Bravo 1 heard

"Bravo 1, STOP!! Don't shoot him."

Bravo 1 turned around in the direction of the voice. It was Alpha 1 that spoke.

"Untie me, he's mine."

Bravo 1 looked to the side and saw an Alpha team member's body. Bravo 1 understood what Alpha 1 wanted to do. Picking up the man's knife, Bravo 1 used it to free Alpha 1. Once free, Alpha 1 took the man's knife from Bravo 1 and walked to the man.

Alpha 1 grappled the man from behind and slowly slit his throat before cleaning the blood off the knife with the man's clothes and returning the knife to the man's pocket.

Bravo 1 turned to the Alpha team members, "We have to move, all packages are in play."

In the next moment, gunfire was heard. Alpha team members quickly nodded their heads. Bravo 1 and Bravo 5 handed the guns they picked up to the Alpha team members.

The group quickly moved out. They made their way up the stairs and arrived on the ground floor. The staircase leading to the underground floor was positioned further back into the building while the staircase leading to the upper floors was placed closer to the front door. The group saw multiple hostiles exchanging fire with Bravo 2 and Bravo 6. They had the duo pinned down. Some were shooting out the window trying to prevent Bravo 3 and Bravo 4 from having time to aim and snipe them. It seemed like all the hostiles in the building had made their way to the ground floor trying to get the three VIPs out of the building. The Caucasian man's group was closer to the door. They had Bravo 2 and Bravo 6 pinned down, so they could only take cover.

"Move quickly, he's getting away." Bravo 1 said, seeing that Caucasian man's group was going to escape if they didn't help Bravo 2 and Bravo 6.

The group started shooting from the back, catching the hostiles off guard. A group of hostiles on the staircase received the most 'attention' and were forced back up the stairs when three of the men in front died. Unfortunately though, the Caucasian man's group had made it out of the building, not before downing another Alpha team member.

The Caucasian man's men quickly push him into a car. The remaining men entered another car. The two cars drove off away from the building. Bravo 3 was about to aim at the cars with his Sniper Rifle when he heard the sound of a rotor engine coming towards them. He saw two helicopters, one of which had mounted machine guns coming in their direction. He had to give up shooting the car and aimed at one of the Helos. He aimed at the pilot and fired.

Bang

The Helo came crashing down. Luckily, it crashed into the bushes and not on the road. The pilot of the second Helo, on seeing what happened, started evasive manoeuvres preventing Bravo 3 from have a clear shot.

As that was happening, Bravo 2 and Bravo 6 moved into the building and joined the others in engaging the other hostiles in the building. Seeing the Caucasian man escaping and the duo's entrance, Bravo 1 said to Alpha 1,

"You need to go after him. Bravo team will handle things here."

"You sure?" Alpha 1 asked, hesitating.

"I'm sure. Go!!" Bravo 1 responded.

"Alpha team, WITH ME. Let's go get that Bastard." Alpha 1 said to his team as they went after the Caucasian man. They were all angry about teammates' death.

Alpha team used an opportunity Bravo team created to move out of the building. They got into an SUV and were about to give chase when they saw a Helo crash. They were surprised by the appearance of a helicopter but they quickly ignored it and their car sped off, pursuing the Caucasian man's group.

Bravo 3, seeing that the Helo was making evasive manoeuvres, knew it would be difficult to make the shot. He came to a quick decision and shouted to Bravo 4,

"We have to move. We are too exposed here."

Bravo 4 nodded his head. The Hostiles knew their location and were able to take cover in the building. Also, they were exposed to the hostiles on the helicopter. They both ran towards the building while evading fire from men in the helicopter. They were fortunate that Bravo 3 had brought down the Helo with the mounted machine gun.

They soon got into the building and the men in the Helo had no angle to shoot at them anymore. The Helo started flying around trying to get an angle where they could shoot from to no avail. When the Helo was making a round back, Bravo 3 suddenly burst out of the building and shot at its engine. The engine blew up and the copter crashed.

Bravo 3 and Bravo 4 fist-bumped before joining the other members of the Bravo team in engaging the hostiles. Bravo 1, seeing that all the members of the Bravo team were together, said,

"Let's end this."

Now that all the remaining hostiles were trapped on the first floor, all they had to do was to take them all out and get the packages in one swoop.

He signalled to Bravo 2 and Bravo 6 to go to the emergency staircase at the back of the building while the other team members kept the pressure on the hostiles.

The duo made their way out of the building and went around back. They quietly climbed up the staircase. Bravo 2 gently opened the door and they made their way in. Once in, they made their way towards the sound of gunfire.

The duo appeared behind the hostiles and shot at them. The hostiles became flustered seeing the enemy flank them from behind. Taking this opportunity, Bravo 1 led the Bravo team to attack them from both sides.

The two groups had a shoot out but the result was a foregone conclusion. The Bravo team killed off all of them soon enough.

The team proceeded to clear the rooms.

"Bravo 1, over here."

Bravo 1 joined the rest of the team in a room as they had recovered their mission objectives. Bravo 1 was about to issue instructions when one of the briefcases exploded.

The explosion brought the entire building to the ground.

Just before the force of the explosion spread out, Bravo 1 felt a light on his face and the events of a day before flashed in his mind.
