Jack repeated the question, to the silent attention of the other travelers.

The aforementioned wrapped himself in his blanket and closed his eyes, evidently to put his explanation in order.

“When the Knights Templar arrived on the shores of Patagonia in approximately 1330, they progressively moved inland in search of more habitable areas than the steppe in which they were. Thus they traveled to the area of lakes and forests that surround the Andes mountain range, hundreds of miles west of here although approximately on the same geographical parallel. When they arrived, they had covered almost the entire width of the American continent at this latitude, and they were near what is today the border with Chile and therefore not far from the Pacific Ocean.
