Yeah! Here's the new chapter!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just as Nick, Penny, and I had hoped, the news that the three of us had a family relationship spread through the school like wildfire in a river of oil.

Students, teachers and staff. Everyone who was currently at Hogwarts, whether people from the school itself or from the two invited schools, was interested in this subject.

Knowing that there was now a possible heir to the Flamels was very grand and unexpected news, one that could shake the magical world.

Nick and Penny never had children and their entire family died a long time ago, so there were only them left as Flamels in the entire world, and if at some point they decided it was time to leave, all their knowledge, fortune, and name would disappear, as there was no one to inherit it.

They managed to gather many rare items, a lot of gold, and a lot of information and knowledge because of their many years of life, but the Elixir of Life did not only give them good things.

The Elixir also took away their ability to have children, making them infertile, and this was something they never told anyone for a long time, and currently only they and my family knew about it, and I suspect the Headmaster did too.

But now, unexpectedly and suddenly a child appeared, being considered by both of them as their grandson.

So it's obvious that with the appearance of this grandson, people would be curious to know more about him, or better said, about me.

And with all these facts I had no doubt that my existence and the fact that I was Nick and Penny's grandson would shake the wizarding world.

And I was sure that in a short time this information would spread throughout the United Kingdom, and then to the rest of the world, mainly because of the focus that Hogwarts was having because of the Tri-Wizard Tournament.

And I could already imagine how annoying it would be to have to put up with several people chasing me to find out more about me, and how irritated I would be when politics interfered in this matter.

But for now I was relieved to know that the news about my relationship with Nick and Penny hadn't gotten out of Hogwarts yet, giving me time to enjoy my calm days.

Of course, I knew that here at school there would also be people bothering me, but I knew the castle like the back of my hand, and I could escape and hide easily.

And I could also just ignore these people the same way I'd been doing since early afternoon, hanging out with my friends on school grounds while waiting for the Halloween feast to arrive.

And speaking about the feast, it was almost time for it to start, so my friends and I started heading to the castle.

And halfway there I saw the golden trio leaving Hagrid's hut, and with a confused look I started looking for the giant man, until I saw him following Madame Maxime like a puppy with a dreamy and passionate expression on his face.

...

...

...

'...Okay' I thought, turning my head slowly and looking straight ahead again, 'I had forgotten about the romantic adventure Hagrid was going to have this year...'

'But well, I think things will be better for them now, since Skeeter will no longer be in the way of this... 'Big' Love'

-Great Hall - Halloween Feast-

Before long we arrived at the Great Hall and went straight to the Ravenclaw table, which was already occupied by the French Beauxbatons students.

As soon as we sat down I felt several pairs of eyes fall on me, and it wasn't very difficult to know why there were so many looks.

However, just as I normally did, I ignored these looks, deciding to pay attention to the feast.

"The Great Hall looks prettier and more decorated than on past Halloweens.." Anthony murmured, looking around, catching our attention.

"I think it's like this to impress the students and teachers at the other two schools," Terry said.

"Well, I don't know why we need to make everything tidy and pretty for them," Michael huffed, scowling at the Beauxbatons students who shared the table with us.

"I feel bad saying this, but I agree with Michael" Sue said, with Michael looking at her dryly.

"I can understand you, but in the world we live in, appearance is everything" I said with a shrug, "The Headmaster is not doing this for them, but rather to show them how great our school is and how much better we are compared to them."

And listening to me, my friends stopped to think about what I said.

"Well, what you said makes sense, but I don't think the Headmaster cares about showing other schools that our school is better" Lisa said, with the others agreeing with her.

"Really?" I asked with a snort, "I don't know if you've noticed, but the entire Tri-Wizard Tournament is about showing which school is better and superior. Forget the whole story of unity and fraternization between schools, what really matters is to stand out in the tournament, win the cup, and show that the winning school is superior to the other two"

"Err... don't you think you're taking this tournament a little too seriously?" Stephen asked me, and I looked at him with a blank expression.

"Stephen, the Tri-Wizard Tournament is a deadly competition that has already been interrupted by the number of victims and deaths... Do you really think it shouldn't be taken seriously?" I asked back.

"Okay, I think I said something stupid..." he said with an embarrassed look.

And we would continue with our conversation, but the Headmaster arrived at the Great Hall to start the feast.

We then decided to leave the conversation for later in order to taste the delicious dishes and foods that suddenly appeared on the table in front of us.

It seemed like the dishes and foods at today's feast were prepared with special care, but none of the other students besides me were really enjoying them.

Everyone was tense and impatient, wanting the feast to end soon so that the Headmaster could reveal the names of those chosen as champions.

And I wasn't as tense as them because I could see the blue threads of the magical contract that were coming out of the Goblet of Fire.

The Goblet of Fire was on the staff table and in front of the Headmaster, and looking at the threads I could see four of them that were more powerful and brighter than the others.

These threads were linked to Krum, Fleur, Harry and me, and because of that I was carefree, knowing that when it was time to reveal the champions, the four of us would be chosen.

And with that knowledge I continued to enjoy my dinner, and out of the corner of my eye I could see that the Headmaster was doing the same, totally unaware of the nervous and impatient looks around him.

After a while, which could be considered quite long given the students' frustrated looks, the Headmaster stood up, with the dessert plates disappearing in front of us.

And as soon as everyone noticed the Headmaster standing, a silence took over the Great Hall, and I could feel the feelings of anticipation coming from everyone.

However, I wasn't paying attention to him, but rather to the Goblet of Fire, or more specifically, to the threads that connected him to the students.

Since the beginning of the feast I had noticed that some threads had started to disappear, and now looking at it again I could see that basically all the threads had disappeared, with only a dozen left, with some of them fading away.

"Well, it looks like the Goblet of Fire is almost ready to decide the champions. It might take another minute or two" the Headmaster said, looking at the cup, before turning to the students.

"Now, when the names of the champions are called I would like them to come to this side of the Great Hall, pass by the staff' table, and then enter the adjoining chamber, where they will receive their first instructions of the tournament," he continued, gesturing to a door at the back of the Great Hall.

And after saying this, the Headmaster pulled out his wand, waved it, and then all the candles that were floating went out, except those in the cut-out pumpkins, leaving the Great Hall in darkness.

And besides the candles from the carved pumpkins, the only source of light that illuminated the Great Hall without leaving everyone in complete darkness was the light that came from the blue-white flames of the Goblet of Fire.

"And it's time," the Headmaster said, looking at the cup in front of him, which began to glow more brightly.

End.
