Chapter 26: Rough starts…happy endings

Epilogue- Bella

“Just go ahead, I’ll catch up!” I call out breathlessly to Logan and Seph as they traverse down the sandy beach. Logan stops mid-way and looks back at me with a quirked brow. “It’s just a few more feet, Kitten.” He replies back.

I give him a wry snicker as I slump down on the sand and lay on my back with a pained groan. Did I mention how much I hate running? After I was shot, I got the hair-brained idea that I needed to get fit, and when I told Logan, I opened a whole can of worms that I now regret opening. Don’t get me wrong, I love the man, but I hate exercise, which he does not. It also doesn’t help that the gunshot scar on my thigh is still sore.

Thankfully, the hospital hired me into the oncology department soon after the shooting. As soon as Logan found out, he ordered his men to move all of my things into his─our house. I’ve been living with him for five weeks, and I love it─except for the exercise part.
