8. That Kind of Person

(A\N: I'm still alive. Give me ideas tho.)

Yuki bought a bag to help him store his equipment. It would also be used to enter the dungeon.

Yuki realized he still had plenty of time left and decided to head back to the cafe. He didn't want to carry this equipment around for the whole day.

As he entered through the back door, he ran into one of his fellow employees.

"Hey Yuki-kun. Where have you been all day?" he asked.

"I've just been running some errands I have." Yuki replied as he tried to hide the bag and sword, even though that was clearly impossible.

"If you could, give us a hand. The cafe is filled today." the fellow employee asked. It was like he didn't notice anything at all.

"Well anyways, I gotta get back to work. See you." Yuki's co-worker said as he left.

Yuki looked at his fellow co-worker in confusion. Did he truly not notice the big bag and sword? 'Whatever. I'm not going to complain.' Yuki thought as he headed to his room.

"Done." Yuki breathed out as he stretched. He had hidden his equipment under his bed. Although he planned on quitting, he didn't plan on letting anyone know right now.

Yuki sighed as he thought about what he should do with the rest of his day. "Maybe I should explore Orario?" Yuki had always wanted to fully explore Orario, but he was first worried about his monetary needs.

"Should I find Isabelle?" Yuki obviously wasn't resistant to going out with a beauty. He just had his priorities. Since he was done, he would definitely enjoy himself.

Yuki walked into the cafe looking for Sam, only to see him rushing through the cafe. Sam wasn't the only one, most of the employees were. He remembered what his co-worker had said earlier.

'I should leave.' Yuki thought as he tried escape, only to feel an arm around his shoulders.

"Hey buddy. Since you're here, why don't you give us a hand?" a voice said as the arm tightened around his neck.

Yuki turned to look at a tired Sam. Yuki realized Sam's grip was tighter than he thought as he tried free himself. "Come on dude, you know it's my day off. Besides, how am I going to accompany your sister later if I'm exhausted?"

"Don't give me that. You only need to help out until the rush is over. If you do, I'll put in a good word for you?" Sam said mysteriously.

"To who?" Yuki asked, his interest piqued.

"My sister." Sam said.

"Do you really think I'm that kind of person?" Yuki asked with mild disgust in his tone.

...

"Here's your order, would you like anything else?" Yuki asked as he set down the tray with polite smile.

"Nothing else, thank you." said the blushing customer.

"No problem at all." Yuki said as he bowed slightly.

"Yuki! Here's another order!" someone behind the counter said.

"Coming!" Yuki said with enthusiasm.

"He's so charming!" said one of the ladies at the table.

"There's nothing better than watching a handsome man at work." said another.

"..."

Sam listened to those comments with a stunned look on his face. He knew why Yuki was suddenly so hardworking. In fact, he was working harder than anyone else. Still, he would keep his promise. His sister was usually picky with the men she was interested in.

Besides, from what he had seen, Yuki was a good person. He wouldn't mind their relationship at all.

Yuki worked around the cafe with great enthusiasm. He had never worked liked this before because he lacked the motivation. Now that he had money and a 'date', of course he would be more passionate about his work.

He even saw the world in a different light!

About two hours passed by and the cafe was finally beginning to clear out. Most of the customer traffic was during the day.

"Phew, that was a tough one. Why do you think there was so many customers today?" Yuki asked Sam in an exasperated tone. The cafe had never been so busy before.

Sam looked at Yuki with a weird expression. Most of the female customers had come here more than once today, and each time they did, they brought more of their friends.

Although he didn't want to admit it, Yuki was probably the reason why. Sam understood that Yuki was just 'slightly' more handsome than himself, but he didn't see why the ladies were so attracted to him. In fact, a few of the female employees here had tried to hit on Yuki, but Yuki seemed to ignore their advances.

"These noble ladies have too much free time." Sam murmured in a slightly sour tone.

"What was that?" Yuki asked. He heard what Sam said, but he just wanted to make sure he heard correctly.

"I said I have no clue at all." Sam said as he grabbed a broom and started sweeping.
