Yuki was currently seated in the Takemikazuchi Familia home, his heart was racing.
"Here you go." said Takemikazuchi as he placed a cup of tea before Yuki. "Ah, thank you Takemikazuchi-sama(dude's name is long)" said Yuki as he took a sip to calm his nerves. 'Hot!' thought Yuki, letting out a breath.
"Have you calmed down now?" asked Takemikazuchi. He could tell Yuki was really nervous. "Yes Takemikazuchi-sama."
"Good, now why don't you introduce yourself first." said Takemikazuchi, intrigued by this young man before him.
"Well, my name is Yuki. There really isn't much more to say other than that..." Yuki had no idea what to say in this situation.
"Yuki? Are you also from the Eastern Region?" asked Takemikazuchi, surprised to meet someone from the same area.
"Well no, but my grandparents were." replied Yuki. At first he wanted to agree, but he didn't know how he would respond if Takemikazuchi asked him questions about the place.
"I see." replied Takemikazuchi with slight disappointment. "So why would you like to join my Familia?" he asked, recovering his smile.
"I've heard great tales about the great God of War from my grandparents. Since I arrived in Orario, I had always dreamed of joining your Familia. After finding out where you lived, I figured I should grasp the opportunity to ask." responded Yuki. This was the best answer he could come up with on such short notice.
Takemikazuchi stared at Yuki of a while before letting out a sigh. Placing his teacup down, he dropped his smile, replacing it with a serious face. "Entering the dungeon is not a game. Nobody knows how many people die in the dungeon every single day. Your corpse may not even be found. Even if it is, other adventures would most likely loot it than return it to the surface. Do you still wish to enter such a place?"
Yuki never thought about it like that. Entering the dungeon meant that you were under constant threat, be it from monsters or even people. Still, even while he was deathly afraid of entering the dungeon, something was drawing him to it.
To the current him, the dungeon was his temptation. It had constantly plagued his mind since he first saw Babel. He needed to enter it, otherwise, what would be the point of him transmigrating into this world.
Looking at Yuki's current state, Takemikazuchi knew that the young man wouldn't be able to resist entering the dungeon. If he didn't accept him into his Familia, Yuki would probably find another god who would happily take in a new Familia member. Thinking of this, Takemikazuchi let out a sigh as he waited for the young man to exit his thoughts.
After half a minute, Yuki finally looked up at Takemikazuchi with a polite smile yet somewhat crazed look in his eyes "I am willing." answered Yuki. Although he used the word 'willing', he actually longed to enter the dungeon.
Takemikazuchi let out another sigh as he stood up and reached out a hand "Welcome to the Takemikazuchi Familia." said Takemikazuchi with a smile. Yuki stood up and grasped Takemikazuchi hand "Thank you, Takemikazuchi-sama." he said with a smile on his face.
"Now take off your shirt." said Takemikazuchi after they shook hands. Yuki gave Takemikazuchi a weird gaze before he remembered that Gods need to put their Emblems on their Familia members' backs.
Taking of his shirt, he proceeded to kneel with his back towards Takemikazuchi. "It seems like I don't need to tell you anything?" asked Takemikazuchi. "It wasn't that had to find out." responded. He couldn't possibly say that he learned this from their anime, right?
As Takemikazuchi readied himself to apply his emblem, he couldn't help but observe Yuki's body. Yuki's muscles finally showed with his shirt removed. He placed his hands on Yuki's back and realized that that the muscles were also firm.
As a god skilled in combat, he really felt that Yuki's build was perfect, at least from what he could see. 'At least he trained himself well.' he thought, unaware that Yuki gained this body without any training at all.
Finally, a blue light flashed and Yuki gained his God's Emblem as well as his status board. Takemikazuchi looked at the screen for a moment before showing a confused face. Yuki realized that his god was taking a while and turned to look at him. "Is something wrong?" asked Yuki.
Takemikazuchi took a look at Yuki. "There's nothing wrong, I've just never seen your skills before." sighed Takemikazuchi as he gave Yuki a copy of his status.
