Turning Gears

Matt didn't say anything and continued to drink from his wine glass. The moment he entered the garden, he activated [Waking Dream]. Since then, it was slowly accumulating and effecting everyone in the area. It was not an ability he used frequently since it took a while to show the results he wanted. However, he felt that it would be very useful at this point. Although he couldn't see what illusions people were experiencing, he could tell when they had fallen into one.

One by one, the attendees started to slip into a half-asleep dreaming state. They continued what they were doing since their unconscious mind was fully controlled by hypnosis, but their conscious mind was already under Matt's power. Unfortunately, the captain and the two enhanced humans were unaffected so far. Once he finished his drink, he placed the glass down and smiled.

"Oh, were you talking to me, captain? I think you must have me confused for someone else."
