Adrian hoped that Brendan had understood his reply. He had reviewed it several times, but wasn't entirely certain that he'd understood all of Brendan's message. However, it was clear that his friend was certain that their conversations were being exposed to eavesdroppers, and that even written messages weren't currently safe. The situation was obviously serious.

He couldn't help eyeing the Eks Corp Security officer who lurked nearby. He wasn't sure whether to be relieved or not that the team that had been assigned to him hadn't actually been reporting his every move. They'd certainly been determined to follow him as though they were.
