Chapter 13 - Outcome of the Mystical Rainfall and The Vow of Love

Dark clouds suddenly enveloped the whole world, Droplets of rain started falling.

People all around the world was clueless about what is going to happen after a day, their lives will change entirely, lots of humans will die, some will survive, but no one expected it coming.

Scientists from all over the world had suspicions about the worldwide rainfall, this has never happened before in their whole lives, the fact that the whole world is experiencing the rainfall at the same time is what makes it very unusual.

The Scientists tried to find the reason behind the worldwide rainfall but to no avail, after hours of attempting to make sense of the worldwide rainfall, the Scientists all around the world gave up and just assumed its just another rare phenomenon that happens to the world once every hundreds of years.

The problem that lies with ignorance and unpreparedness is the vulnerability created by it. Humans were unprepared with what's about to come, even though the remaining humans have powers, some didn't bother honing it, meanwhile those with high ambitions of reaching the top or those who have the passion of increasing their power to be unbeatable, humans who have reach the E - Rank within a week are only in a few hundreds, meanwhile those with talent and hardwork have reached D - Rank although those D - Ranks can only be counted by 2 hands.

As the Rainfall becomes heavier and heavier by the minute, Mana has also become the world's core, the old planet core that all planets in space have only served as an inner shield for the world's origin mana core.

As Mana circulates through the world's veins, supplying every living organism with mana, Plants began to mutate or evolve, Animals became more intelligent or bloodthirsty, hungry for power, and so they began to seek alternative ways to reach the peak of evolution.

The Dead remains of the once forgotten humans that have died since the start of mankind began to rise from their graves all around the world to take one last stand in their former world, they serve as humans' first mortal enemy and the reason for the humans' passion to get stronger, re ignited.

Some of the dead crawled, some of them ran, some of the jumped, and some of them walked towards the ignorant humans who had no idea what's about to come.

The World tree's sapplings have been planted all around the world and began nourishing itself with the earth's mana in order to grow, In exchange the world trees spread mana through the air, slowly integrating mana as one of the bases of life.

The undeads have reached the humans... Havoc, Chaos, Despair, Hopelessness, and Cries of the humans filled the world. But among the humans, there were those who chose to stand against them, giving hope to humans who have lost their rationality and common sense, to use their powers and defeat them.

Once again... Hope has been lit up, Humans began to stand side by side with their fellow humans to fight against the odds with the undeads.

Humans have begun establishing their claim on the world once again as the first stronghold of humanity has risen up from the ground.

The First Stronghold or otherwise known as Mankind's First Pillar of Hope, gave Hope to humanity.

The First Stronghold was located at one of the major countries, best known for their military power and aerial combat ability. America.

All of that happened in one month, in the apocalypse. Ruins of former Cities and Towns can only be found around the world.

Humans have yet to encounter the other 2 enemies it has yet to face... The evolved animals or now classified as Monsters have begun and hunted humans for the sake of avenging their kin that have died in the hands of humans in the olden days, and the last most dangerous enemy of humanity... It's the humans itself.

Some got blinded by power, blinded by the endless possibility this new world has to offer, blinded by their ambitions that they only seeked power and began to do things for their own pleasure and leisure.

Some humans have begun to release their inner self, their inner desires.

This is just the start of the Apocalypse, and the start of mankind's struggle to rule over their old world.

One month has passed since the start of the Rainfall. Me, Scáthach, Chara, and Sans stayed inside the bunker and never went outside.

On the course of one month, many things have happened. And best among all the best days in my life happened during that one month.

1 week since the Second Phase began, Chara started watching Me and Scáthach training, or more like she's watching me training and never looked at Scáthach everytime we train, and that made Scáthach really irritated for some reason.

I could tell that Scáthach likes me but for some particular reason... She doesn't want to admit it nor does she have any plans of confessing her love to me.

Chara also started to slightly get along with Sans as she doesn't talk about killing Sans anymore. I tried giving her knife back but she refused by saying, "I don't need it for now, I can always summon one anytime when i need it anyways, you can keep it for now Zahard."

Before she only sticked to me just to mess with Scáthach with a poor excuse of wanting chocolates, but now... She's sticking to me now without excuses nor its because of wanting to mess with Scáthach.

Of course, everytime Scáthach sees that, she begins to get upset and when i ask her why she always say nothing. I guess I should do this my way huh?

3 weeks since the Second Phase started, this happened.

[MC's POV]

Scáthach is open to me now, she doesn't know that what she does makes it very obvious that she likes me.

Everytime she sees Chara close to me, I can sense her pouting, she also gets upset if I talk with her when Chara is with me.

Right now, me and Scáthach are beginning today's training session.

Me and Scáthach fought as usual, I wasn't doing that much of a bad job like I thought I would, I could probably put up a fight with Chara and make Scáthach break a sweat when fighting with her, I'm still way too far from going toe to toe with her.

We finished the training as usual, Chara wasn't watching us as she was playing Uncharted 4 on the PS4 and Sans was sleeping as usual. So me and Scáthach sat on the bench outside the Sparring field.

"You know Zahard... You really lack control with your aerial maneuvering, sometimes you can't control the speed ard end up rushing unto a wall but you've got an extraordinary potential seeing as you can already make me break a sweat everytime we fight in just a couple of weeks. You're probably the best disciple i ever had." Scáthach said to me.

Something in what Scáthach said really ticked me off and disturbed something within me. Was it because she was acting as if she wasn't in love with me and kept trying to hide it as if she didn't want to be in love with me. Regardless of the reason, I couldn't control hold myself back and decided to ask her,

"Hey, Scáthach..." I said.

"Yeah Zahard? Is something wrong?" Scáthach curiously asked.

"You know... I've been meaning to ask this for a while not so if you don't mind me asking..." I paused.

"Go and ask ahead then." Scáthach said curiously.

"What... Do you think about me?" I asked her.

"Eh? What do you mean? Aren't we friends?" Scáthach answered.

"Yeah right... I would've bought that reasoning if it wasn't so obvious that you get jealous and upset whenever Chara is close to me Scáthach," I said as I stood up from the bench.

"W-what could you possibly mean? I w-was just worried about whether s-she would hurt you or not," Scáthach said while stuttering.

"Don't take me for a fool, Scáthach." I then turned around to look at her.

"B-but i'm not-" Before Scáthach finished what she had to say, i interrupted her.

"You know... Before, I was satisfied as being your friend and being called your friend. But after weeks have passed by, I can't help but not be satisfied just being your friend anymore..." I told her.

"Zahard..."

"Scáthach... You've got 3 Seconds to slap me." I told her before i counted.

"Wait what-" I cut her off again.

"One..."

"Wait Zahard..."

"Two..."

"Wait I sa-" I cut her off once again.

"Three..."

"Too late Scáthach..." I said before leaning my head closer towards her and using my right hand to hold up her chin close to me as I locked my lips with hers...

"MMPH-"

Our tongues were intertwined as we savored each other's taste, our tongues fought a fierce battle for domination, only for Scáthach to lose.

"Mhmmmm~"

We then separated from our kiss as a trail of saliva was attached to my lips and hers.

"I love you Scáthach, I fell in love with you since the very start but why can't you just be honest with your feelings with me" I told her as a tear fell down to my cheeks.

"I love you too Zahard... I'm sorry for hiding it from you, I just couldn't bring myself to confess my love for you, I was planning to do it once you're as strong as me but it seems like... This time... I couldn't hold it anymore." Scáthach said, I brought her close to my chest as I hugged her tightly. I had always loved her since the very start, I'm glad that my love for her has been reciprocated with her own as well...

"I become stronger than you sooner than you have expected, that is my Vow of Love towards you Scáthach." I declared.

"I will be yours till death do us part, that is my vow of love towards you Zahard," Scáthach said as she tightened her hug on me.

I could see her smiling brightly like she has just got the most precious thing in her life back, I could see tears of joy falling down on her cheeks.

"I love you Scáthach."

"I love you too Zahard."

We then spent the rest of the day cuddling with each other as we were really happy today to think of anything else...

"Heh... Seems like you lost to the purple haired girl, kid," Sans said.

"Shut it smiley trashbag!" Chara said as he clenched her fist tightly while grinding her teeth.

"Heh... You should work harder kid, Instead of making him yours only, why not share him with her?" Sans suggested as he put both of his hands inside the pockets of his hoodie.

"I was just mad that she got to him first, Sans." Chara said to Sans.

"Heh... Kid, you should know that except for genocide. All is fair in love and war," Sans said before going back to the first floor of the bunker and waving his hands at Chara.

"Grrr... I know that Comedian... You don't need to repeat that," Chara said as she gritted her teeth, and also went back to her room.

(A/N: I worked by brain cells to the max for this poor excuse of a romance but I did my best and I hope you like it, I think I might or might not make one more chap for this day as i already spent most of my time trying to come up with the best scenario i could possibly Imagine. Next chap would be the Special Basic Roll spree so don't worry, let's give Zahard and Scáthach some lovey dovey time, mah boi finally got a girl you know? hahahaha.)
