Grimm horde

"I have told you before that what drives my kind to you is the negative emotions you humans feel. The more negative, the more of us will come. You ask how many to answer your question, I know that there are many of them, and I also know that it will not be enough with the strength you have shown. In the next day or so, my kind will come through."

The group seemed to become depressed when I said that. I noticed that Thomas was upset about what I said, but little I could do for him or his humans' group. Thomas came forward and said to me.

"Can you help us?"

Help them; it would give me time to eat more of my kind. It would also allow me to see how the humans fought up close. It was a win-win for me; I could not think of any reason to refuse what was asked of me. With that thought, I replied saying.

"I will help you; however, you will promise not to attack me. That is my only condition for me to help you. Do you agree?" It did not bother me if they said yes or not. If they disagreed, then my only worry would be getting disturbed when eating. Other than that, there was nothing else that would bother me about it. I could see that Thomas wanted to agree but looked to his father for the answer. The father then looked to the rest of his group. They had a nonverbal agreement not to attack me. I knew that they needed my help, and so did they. It was for mutual benefit for both parties. The father finally, after some time, said.

"Fine. We all agree to the terms, but remember this GRIMM, if you hurt anyone, we will kill you."

"Know this, Human; if you attack me, then I will also kill you." I slowly made my way towards the group. The bigger humans were a little more than only half my size. How fragile they appear to be, the humans. When they saw me, I could feel the fear they had of me. I looked at Thomas, who ran to me and hugged my leg, saying thank you over and over. It was interesting to see him like this; I put my hand on his head and said.

"Thomas…there is no need to be scared."

He looked at me, and I felt that my words helped him slightly. The others in the group were staring at us. I stared back at them; I was not scared of them, nor would I ever be. There was silence between the bigger humans and myself. Thomas was able to stop them from fighting me and told me to keep my promise to him. The only thought in my head was using my claws to cut their heads off.

The father looked at Thomas and said, "Go home, Thomas we need to talk to this Grimm….privately."

Were they going to attack me, HA like I would allow myself to be attacked by such weak creatures. I looked and noticed that they did not have their weapons at the ready. They were tense, yes, but seem not to have any desire to attack me. I relax only slightly at my discovery; I did not want to be in a bad situation. Thomas looked at his father before leaving us. The human turned his head from his son and stared at me, and said.

"Grimm….do we stand a chance….." His voice was soft and calm, but I knew that was only a lie. The man was scared, and I could feel it. I did not want to lie to him, so I said.

"Even with my help, you would lose…..there are not enough fighters in your village to start with. Not only that, but my kind cares little about death while your people do. There is also not enough time to leave this village. Your only chance is to hold and have them escape, but that would only attract my kind even more. There is no way for you to win this. You can try to kill me, but let us say you do kill me, and you get an injury in the process; that would leave you, even more, weaken to fight the horde that is coming." I said to the group. I did not want them to despair, but giving false hope for it to crumble would be even worse.

I saw that the group started to become hopeless for what I had said to them. One of them said to me.

"Hey…hey….you are joking, right….you must be lying to us." I looked at him and could not believe that he thought I was lying to him. I was only telling the truth and nothing more to it. The feeling of him not believing me was upsetting to me. I looked at the human and said.

"By all means, you can go and look at it yourself if you do not believe me….just so you know I do not give free rides."

The father got something from his bag and took out a small device. I looked at the device in his hand and was confused as to what it was. Seeing that I was confused, he showed me the device and said.

"This is a scroll; if you can go to where they are gathering and video call me, it would help us greatly" I looked at him, and then the strange thing in his hands. It took him a while to teach me how to use it, but I got the hang of it after some time. A straightforward device, but useful, I would say. I looked at him and said.

"Easy enough. I do a video call to you near the horde that is coming. Why is it so hard for you to believe me on this?" I was annoyed at them. They should believe my words and stop with this nonsense.

"Look….we need proof to get actual hunters and huntresses here." I looked at him confused before saying.

"If it part of the deal, then I will do it, remember….I am not a servant" With that said; I left to find my kind. Finding them was easy, and with the speed at which I traveled, it took me only an hour to make it to where they were gathering. I finally made it to the location that my kind were gathering at. I knew that they were gathering not because I could see it but because I could feel it. I looked and was not too happy by what I saw. There were than I had thought there would be, and not only that, but there was a much stronger Grimm. I thought that I was the strongest, but I was wrong. There in the middle of the group, I saw a large bird-like creature with the same white mask as me. Looking at it, I knew that I was not its match. Trying to attack it would only lead to my death. I do not remember seeing such a creature when I traveled with my group, so why was it here. I took out the device and called the human.

[A/N: MC met a Nevermore]

He answered, looked at me, and said.

"So where is the horde at?" I look at the device, toward it around so that he could see it. There was a moment of silence before he said.

"We….are doomed."
