a small ride

Carrot and Devon were in the train, waiting to get to destination.

They didn't really know eachother, yet the boss placed them together on this mission. So they sat in silence. Kinda.

"Say, why are you wearing a mask?" Carrot asked Devon.

"Cuz I'm ugly as heck." he answered.

"I see." he felt awkward.

It seemed sparking a conversation wasn't all that easy. This was going to be a long ride. Or not.

Because immediately after the train exploded. obviously, it wasn't planned but both Carrot and Devon survived. Though, the other passengers died tragically. This had been planned by none other than boss' worst enemy, businessman. a supervillain that liked attacking criminals, but often there was too much collateral damage .
