Falling Petals

Sitting on the couch in the middle of the drawing room, Li Jie had a long conversation with Marvel. To call it a conversation was superficial. Li Jie did all the talking, Marvel just listened, read his body language and followed his eye movements like he noticed things no one did. No detail was too small for him to find inconsequential.

Gratia and Emmanuel gulped hard. They were relieved not to be chosen by Marvel to explain what was happening because they were sure they wouldn't have been able to do even as nearly close as Li Jie did.

Li Jie's power of persuasion is famous in the community. He uses his speaking and acting ability mainly for business, but the intention isn't always bad. He just wants to make as many relations as he can in the underworld, especially with distinguished groups and powerful families.
