David somehow dragged himself all the way back to his apartment and office building. But his legs were feeling weak. He couldn't go back up and decided to sit down on the bench on the sidewalk across the building.
He had the bouquet in his one hand and the other hand had the jewellery box. A mere hour ago he had so confidently spoken his goodbye to Sabrina and now he was feeling like a looser with no future. A person who had no aim left in life. It was like the world has come to an end and there was nothing better left to do then wait for a peaceful death.
"David..." Gabrielle rushes towards the bench he was sitting on and staring in the far off distance but nowhere in particular.
David doesn't budge or bothers to look at her. Noticing his unfazed demeanour, Gabrielle takes a seat beside him and joins him into watching in the distance.
