Veronica's POV

Stepping into school grounds there's a chill still hanging in the air left over from yesterday's downpour.

Thankfully it's not so cold that it'd be awful or dreary but it also doesn't help to calm my worries or temper.

All through the night I was awake worried sick and that ass still didn't call me to let me know if he'd gotten home safe or if he didn't catch a cold.

Those around catch a quick drift of my foul mood and stay as far away as they can from me.

I stomp around trying to find Daniel but I can't seem to find him. I finally bump into Trey and a few of the guys from the football team.

“ hey besty! ” he says winking “ what's got your knickers in a twist? ” he asks with a smile.
