87. Call Him

"Where did she go? She was here just now!" Grandpa Zhang and Lan Xie were running around panicking while Amy was trying to control them. RuQian saw the handsome brunette haired man who sensed her presence and was staring back at her. RuQian's eyebrow raised slightly. It had been a while since she had met him and she hadn't noticed before that he was trained professionally.

It didn't seem like he was great but he was good to be able to notice her as soon as she entered the room. He would be able to take on Lan Xie even though she had already started training again.

RuQian had met Yang Bo Ran a few times in her past life when he had operated on Lan Xie in her previous life when.., RuQian shook her head mentally not wanting to think of that hurtful memory. In the present time RuQian had only met Yang Bo Ran socially when she was younger. He used to visit Lan Xie's house and she had met him a few times but they had never even spoken.

RuQian saw him sizing her up slowly. There was no malice in his look, she could see the concern in his eyes which made her smile slightly. It seemed like he was a doctor through and through. RuQian nodded at him slightly that made him smile widely.

RuQian tilted her head to the side. 'He's handsome but not as handsome as..' she shook her head clearing herself of the image that popped up. "I am right here guys. And Lan Xie can you please stop saying that I've been kidnapped again?" RuQian walked towards her bed and sat down when Lan Xie jumped on to her.

"Qian Qian you're here? Nobody kidnapped you? I thought something happened again when you were not here. You are not well, how can you walk around like this."

"Xiao Xie she is not well so why don't you stop jumping on her every chance you get huh?" Amy pulled her off of RuQian for the third time. "How are you feeling now Qian Qian?"

RuQian smiled gratefully at her friend, "I am feeling much better thanks to you Amy."

"Hey!" They all laughed at Lan Xie's wronged expression. RuQian quietly observed Yang Bo Ran who had been staring at Lan Xie adoringly. 'Looks like this hasn't changed. I have to change her fate somehow.' She stared at Lan Xie.

"Ooh cool necklace Qian Qian." RuQian came out of reverie at this. "I wanted to take it off when Amy and I were changing your clothes last night but Amy stopped me. You weren't wearing this in the party, where did you get it? They look like precious gemstones. I think I've seen similar designs somewhere. Where did I see them?" Lan Xie pondered.

RuQian took in everyone's expression and also the slight acknowledgement and the knowing look in her grandfather and Yang Bo Ran's eyes. Looked like he knew Mu Chen really well. Mu Chen had his fingers in many industries, and jewellery business was one of them.

When she had seen the pendant in her bathroom she had recognized the amethyst stone by the shade of it's colour. This stone had been found in the late 1700s near a volcanic area and had been passed through several generations of different families. In her past life RuQian had heard of someone who had bought the stone in an auction in the early 2000s. But the stone had never come to light nor had it ever been sold until her death.

But now that same stone was in the pendant on her neck. RuQian had always been someone who liked collecting precious jewellery. That was the only reason she knew so well about this stone. Normal people would not know about this stone just by looking at it, so even if her grandfather and Lan Xie could see that it was a precious gemstone, they wouldn't know it's true heritage.

It looked like only Yang Bo Ran knew of it's value. "It was a gift. I put it on in the party. You must have not seen it because you were busy with other things." Lan Xie shut up when RuQian hinted at how she was busy bullying others. "She deserved it Qian Qian. I just.."

"Okay. Why don't you all just let the doctor check up on me. Wait downstairs, I'll come down after he checks up on me." RuQian added when Lan Xie was about to interject, "We still have to open the presents from yesterday."

"Yes, I forgot about that. Yang ge take care of my Qian Qian. Come on Amy, grandpa let's go. We can't take up too much of Yang ge's time. Let's go." Lan Xie pushed both Amy and grandpa Zhang out of the room. "Qian Qian come down quickly, we'll be waiting." And she left closing the door after her.

RuQian turned to Yang Bo Ran who was smiling at the closed door warmly. "Will you tell her?"

Yang Bo Ran questioningly stared at RuQian who just raised her eyebrows instead of answering. "You're observant." He answered understanding her question.

"You weren't really being secretive." RuQian smirked. "So? When will you tell her?"

He sighed, "There's still time. She's still young."

"She's young but she also only thinks of you as her cousin's friend. You should change that thought of hers first." Yang Bo Ran fell into a thoughtful expression. He hadn't even thought of this aspect. If she only saw him as her brother's friend it would be a disadvantage to him.

He shook himself out of his thought and checked RuQian's eyes and asked her some questions about how she felt. "If you are not feeling any dizziness you can eat some food, but it will be better to eat light food like some porridge. And after eating if you feel nauseous you can take a medicine for your stomach. I'll leave it with your grandfather."

RuQian nodded her head. "I'll take my leave now. Rest till tomorrow. Try not to exercise today."

"Why don't you take a seat." RuQian got up from the bed and walked towards the couch and gestured towards the armchair to her left. Yang Bo Ran contemplated for a while before he sat down.

"Do you have any other questions?"

"Call him."
