Chapter 18: Novice Poacher

Several weeks had passed. Kai spent his whole time inside Aimee’s villa, training his orgaion as instructed. He now was able to hold still much longer without running out of energy. He could fire his wave beam consistently, and he could catch Jagger in less than a whole afternoon.

It was morning. Kai hadn’t eaten yet, so he went to the kitchen. He found Aimee sipping a cup of tea in the chair there.

“Don’t you feel it’s better to sit in the dining room?” He asked.

“And don’t you feel ever tired of doing nothing in the morning?” She asked. “Why are you wandering around? What about training?”

“I can finish it pretty quickly now.”

“You should train more then. When I was at your level I’d train martial arts as well.”

“Why? The orgaion alone isn’t strong enough?”
