Chapter 14

Ken and Sensen sigh in relief to find Candice across the street from the abortion clinic.

Candice smiles at her publisher after signing the contract and takes out her phone to call Ken and deliver the good news.

He snatches her phone out of her hand and flicks her forehead, "Of all the places you could have your meeting, are you insane to have it here? What? Are you trying to get yourself killed? Or my child killed?

"Why the hell didn't tell me where you're going before leaving? Are you trying to give me a heart attack?"

He cups her cheek looking her in the eyes, "Stop playing games with me Candice I'm under enough pressure as it is." He glares at her publisher to fuck off.

Candice kisses Ken and stands up from her seat stretching out her hand to her partner and Ken accepts the hand shake pulling her along to the car, "Ken I'm sorry."
