Homeland

After Liya left the scene, the Lord looked at the darkened sky with a solemn expression on his face.

"The Immortal Monarch, huh?" The Lord mumbled to himself, lost in thought. "No matter what happens to me, I must protect Earth at all costs. This is his homeland, after all."

The following day, Yuan rose from his bed early in the morning.

"Is it morning already…?" Chu Liuxiang mumbled in a tired voice as she slowly sat up on the bed rubbing her eyes.

"Yes," Yuan confirmed as he slightly lifted the curtains, allowing the early sun to shine into their room.

"Take your time, I'll be training with the others first. Of course, you don't need to participate if you don't have the energy— I won't blame you."

Hearing his words, Chu Liuxiang collapsed back on the bed and said, "Then I'll sleep for a few more hours. If you're still training by then, I'll join you."
