Ch.87 Justice Served...
Sometime after the whole Queen incident happened...
Bishop carried a tray of food to the brig for Burke.
Burke was just seated on the bed with his head down, as he asked Bishop,"So where's everyone else?"
"Resting, only the 4 settlers are in the messhall."
Bishop entered the food tray in the opening of the cell's small window.
Burke raised his head, and looked at Bishop,"Good!, Authorization over ride Burke,Carter J. 8-4-D-4-5-5. are you with me Bishop?"
Bishop suddenly became rigid and moved more mechanical than before. Answered Burke,"What are your orders Sir?"
Sometime before all this... in the med bay...
ChengXaio had changed the Lt.Gormans bandages, and set him on a bed to let him rest.
When everyone went to rest, a bulge started to raise from the Lieutenant's chest, and burst revealing what seems to be a young Queen...
After a while the alien made its way to the med bay's floor. Where it spotted a grate leading to the ships ventalation systems.
Finding its way into the messhall, where the unsuspecting newbies were chatting about the enhancement they'll be getting when they enter God's dimension...
It was at this moment that Kris snapped awake, he felt danger coming from a certain direction.
He quickly woke up Felicity,and wore his shirt. He didn't forget to pick up his lightsabers and rushed towards the med bay.
Where he found the now dead Lieutenant with a gaping hole in his chest,"Damnit, went was he infected?!"
Not bothering to check anymore as he heard screams from the messhall.
He dashed towards the source of the noise only to find a now 2 meters tall alien similar to what he fought not long ago in the cargo bay.
"Shyte, its a young queen!"
He quickly moved to dodge, and armed himself as the beast automatically lunge at the moment it saw him.
He hastily fended off its tail attacks that move akin to a scorpion's stinger.
He parried, while simultaneously damaging it. As he was doing his best to not get skewered by its lethal tail.
Felicity came in the messhall along with ZhuWen who she met in the hallway.
It being to cramped for her to use the interceptor she was only armed with her lightsaber. Deciding the only way to help was to somehow distract the alien to give Kris room to move from its relentless barrage.
She activated her lightsaber, and copied one of Kris's tricks. She threw her weapon at the alien like a boomerang.
She did not have TK to assist in controlling the weapon but as it is still technology and has mechanical parts. Felicity was able to make it spin much faster akin to a windmill, striking the aliens leg and caused it to stumble.
Due to it not having TK assisting the strike it was not strong enough to cut the leg but, it did cause a huge gash. Successfully achieving its intended goal, which was to create an opening for Kris.
Kris did not miss this chance. As he crossed his lightsabers and attacked. As if a gardener trimming the foliage, he snipped off a third of the alien's head, killing it in the process.
Just as they were about to sigh in relief, another scream was heard.
While Kris was fighting the young queen Burke ordered Bishop to let him go, and fetch the two face huggers.
Bishop having no choice in the matter followed his orders.
He then led Bishop towards Ripley, and Newts room. Knowing that Bishop will hinder his plans due to the prohibitions it had about harming humans.
He ordered for the android to shut down, while he released the face huggers in the room an locked it from the outside.
He then ran to hide in a secret room only he knows about in the ship.
It was Zheng, Yinkong, and ChengXiao who were able to hear Ripley, and Newt's struggle to fight off the face huggers.
Realizing the door had been locked, Zheng and Yinkong did there best to tear the door down. Zheng melted a hole in the door and Yinkong used her hellfire fang to make it bigger.
Seeing that Newt is almost caught by the face hugger, Yinkong ignored the hot metal around the hole and push her body in thru the breach.
Burned in some places Yinkong pounced at the face hugger that was inches from Newt's face. The only saving grace is its tail got caught behind the dresser as Newt pushed it to the wall.
Yinkong sliced the creature inhalf as soon she got near.
While Ripley was still under the bed, pinning the facehugger that tried to latch on to her.
Lucky enough for the duo, as Newt was still traumatized by the events. Couldn't sleep in the bed and was only comfortable when she is hiding below it.
Ripley decided to accompany Newt under the bed as they slept.
That's one of the reasons they weren't immediately infected.
Yinkong stabbed the face hugger thru the bed narrowly missing Ripleys hands, She reflexsively push the now dead creature to the side and avoided the acidic blood.
Hicks arrived at the scene along with Kris and the others.
Kris and Felicity helped melting the door while Hick checked on the deactivated Bishop.
He said,"It just doesn't make any goddamn sense. Androids can't harm humans directly or indirectly."
Ripley now carrying Newt got out of the room said," It was Burke, He figured that he could get an alien back through quarantine, if one of us was... impregnated..."
Everyone focused their eyes on her with a 'really?' kind of look.
She caught on how she misspoke, and continued with a blush.
"Whatever you call it, and then frozen for the trip home. Nobody would know about the embryos we were carrying... me and Newt."
Corporal Hicks suddenly realized somthing said," Wait a minute, now... we'd all know."
Ripley just simply noddded and said,"Yes. The only way he could do it is if he sabotaged certain freezers on the way home... namely, yours. Then he could jettison the bodies and make up any story he liked."
Tengyi came around the corner with Burke who was now sporting a pair of irish sunglasses.
Tengyi said,"No wonder you were in such a hurry."
Burke tried to play it off as crazy accusations said,"This is so nuts. I mean, listen - listen to what you're saying. It's paranoid delusion. How - It's really sad. It's pathetic."
Ripley stared at him and said,"You know, Burke, I don't know which species is worse. You don't see them fooking each other over for a goddamn percentage." she said while pointing at the face hugger.
Corporal Hicks then points his side arm at Burke and said,"All right, we waste him. No offense."
Ripley quickly said,"No. He's gotta go back with us and face his crimes, its the least we could do to seek justice for the people that died for his selfish greed."
Everything started to settle as they fixed up the mess caused by this event.
By the time every movie character, have entered the cryo-chamber.
The familiar half awake state came, for the players...
