Chapter 1

It's been 4 years since I've been in this world. The past years have been interesting to say the least.

After my second year, I tried to unlock my chakra. All I can say is that it's harder than it looks. They make it seem so easy yet it's ridiculously hard.

Fortunately I was able to unlock my chakra 4 months ago. Ever since then, all I've been practicing was the leaf sticking chakra control exercise.

I know almost none of the hand signs for any of the jutsus that I remember being used in the show.

The only ones that I remember were the hand signs to were the fireball jutsu and the shadow clone jutsu.

Both of which I don't have the chakra capacity to perform at my current level.

I don't have anyone to measure my chakra capacity with, but I can say that mine are roughly at academy student chakra level.

Of course all this is done without my parents finding out. Or if they already found out, then they just didn't care.

It's difficult to lie to a shinobi. They are very well trained in deception. My best response to any questions asked is to just not answer at all.

I didn't know whether to be thrilled or be sad about my current family. On one hand they don't ask too much questions or bother me too much. On the other hand my-...

???: Izuna, what are you still doing outside.

That. This guy is my problem with this situation. Did I mention that I've been meditating outside for the last 2 hours with piles of leaves stuck on my body.

???: You know you don't need to do this. You still have at least...a lot of years to have fun. Don't waste it on training.

I finally open my eyes to see him. Who else could it be except Shisui Uchiha. Or as people know him 'Shisui of teleportation'. I still can't believe it. Shisui of all people is my elder brother.

I'm totally screwed. At this point I couldn't think of any way to escape the Uchiha massacre. The best I can do is keep training and hope for the best.

Today I'll finally ask Shisui to teach me the three basic academy jutsus. I need to start from the basics. Small steps.

And I just realized that I've been tuning him out for a while.

Shisui: Are you even listening to me. *Sigh*

He pouted while grumbling something about disrespectful younger brothers.

Izuna: Aniki.

Shisui: Hmm?

Izuna: I want to learn the academy basics.

Shisui: Let me think about it.

He assumes a thinking pose which he releases 2 seconds later.

Shisui: Nope!

This guy...why does he look so happy saying no? He very frustrating.

Izuna: Why not?

Shisui: If I teach you, you'll want to graduate from the academy early and I'm not letting that happen.

At this point he looks like a judge that just delivered his final verdict.

Izuna: What if I promise not to graduate early from the academy?

It's not like I was going to do that either way. It's better to lay low at the academy and not draw too much attention. Especially people like Danzo.

Shisui: Why are you keen on learning it.

Izuna: I just want to be properly prepared.

Shisui: Prepared for what exactly. You talk like we're preparing for war.

Izuna: ...

I choose not to say anything in response to that. I'm starting to get annoyed. If he won't teach me then I'll find some one else to learn from.

Shisui: *Sigh* Fine. I'll teach you.

Just as I'm about to start rejoicing...

Shisui: But...you have to promise to stay in the academy till you graduate.

Izuna: I promise.

Shisui: Wait here.

He walked away and into the house. After some time he comes out with some books.

Shisui: We can't teach you how to perform jutsu without you knowing the hand signs, now can we?

He drops the books in front of me.

Shisui: The other books are practically a summary of what you'll learn in the academy. When you're done with those, then we'll start.

This is better than nothing. I actually forgot about learning other stuff in the academy.

Well...time to train.
