Death of Arcanine

Suddenly, Arcanine noticed a powerful aura of Pokemon coming towards them. It was Venusaur. It could tell that this was the aura of its brother and it was now in big trouble. It could tell that it was also a tier 3 king-rank Pokemon. It didn't know how powerful this Pokemon was compared to it but even it can't battle 2 tier 3 king rank Pokemons and be confident to come out victorious.

It had to finish this Pokemon as fast as it could so that it could concentrate on the next tier 3 king-rank Pokemon.

Arcanine raised its head high in the sky and gave a unique howl.

HOOOWLLL

It had used 'Sunny day' but there was something different about it. The move was too fast and too effective. It then gave another howl and suddenly, the fire around them started to rage and cover a whole area. Axel was quite busy with the battle of Arcanine so he could not look at it but Slowemperor could tell that it was using its pre-domain move.

Slowemperor had no choice now. It could tell that Venusaur was helping Charizard and it might take 1 to 2 minutes to join the battle. It had to hold Arcanine till that time but it was not powerful to it with its current power. So, it also decided to use its pre-domain move.

'Psychic domain' would increase the special attack and defense of Slowemperor. It would also increase the power of psychic attacks and illusion attacks. With 'Calm mind', Slowemperor's special attack and special defense were already high but now with 'Psychic domain', it had increased again.

Arcanine was glowing at this point and Slowemperor saw that it had used 'Morning sun' which healed it. It looked more powerful than ever. Arcanine then looked at Slowemperor and then fired up a powerful 'Flamethrower'.

Slowemperor immediately used 'Light screen' to defend against the attack. With the power of high special defense and attack and 'Light screen', it was not very injured but it was not completely unharmed.

The power of Arcanine had increased to an unbelievable degree and it was now trying to finish up Slowemperor.

Arcanine gave a huge roar and then something amazing happened. Burst of fire came out all over the battlefield. Then some of these bursts of fire tried to surround Slowemperor so that it could not move. Slowemperor tried to teleport but it could not. Somehow it was held in that position. It then tried to fire up moves like 'Hydro pump' and 'Ice beam' but none of them seemed to have any effect.

Axel saw that Slowemperor was facing a problem. The battle of Charizard had already finished and now he could concentrate on this battle. He saw that Arcanine would run towards those fires that were almost everywhere in the area and when it came in contact with that fire, its speed and power would increase. It started to run around those fires and its speed started to increase to an incredible level.

It looked like a move personally made by this Arcanine. By now Slowemperor had tried everything but it could not get out. Those fires that surrounded it acted like a wall that could trap anything.

"Magnus, first use 'Rain dance' and try to decrease the power of this Arcanine.", said Axel.

After hearing Axel's voice, it visibly relaxed. This battle with Arcanine was totally against its favor. Arcanine could not be confused or be trapped in illusion. The Pokemon was more powerful than Slowemperor and Slowemperor was weak against fire. So, it was starting to get irritated with the fight.

The impact of 'Rain dance' was huge. It immediately cooled down the fires that were surrounding the battle area but for some reason, those fires didn't go out. Arcanine was still roaming around touching those fires. The speed of Arcanine was so fast now that even Slowemperor was having difficulty seeing its movements.

Finally, it looked like Arcanine was going to attack. It turned towards Slowemperor and marched at blinding speed. Axel had already told Slowemperor to use 'Reflect' with all its power. It was already trapped in this fire and it could do nothing other than defend against this attack.

Slowemperor had also activated its psychic domain. So, when it used 'Reflect' which was a psychic type move, the power of the move was high. However, Slowemperor didn't know if it could defend against this attack and come out alive.

The speed of Arcanine was so high that Slowemperor could only see red light running here and there. Finally, the movement of impact came. Others could not interfere in this fight cause this was the battle of tier 3 Pokemon but it didn't mean that there was no one that could not do it.

"Marcus now, do it.", shouted Axel.

Shedinja came out of the shadow near Arcanine and it gave a small roar. The shadow of Arcanine was then absorbed by Shedinja. It covered the whole body of Shedinja and then it adjusted as an armor of its body. Shedinja looked completely black now. The move was 'Shadow absorption'.

Shadow absorption had also leveled up and it could now absorb the shadow of one sub-rank higher Pokemon. After absorbing the shadow, the power of Shedinja was increased by some amount and the power of the enemy would decrease by some amount. It really depended on the power of the user and the enemy.

The move was successful and Arcanine felt that it had suddenly grown weaker than before. It could not fully concentrate on the attack and the power of the attack had been reduced a lot. It did hit Slowemperor.

BANG!!!!!

The impact was very loud. Even the Pokemons near were blown off by the impact. It looked like an explosion. Even though the power of Arcanine had decreased by a lot with 'Rain dance' and Shedinja, the power of the attack was still huge.

Axel immediately used 'Aura sense' and found out that Slowemperor was alive. He felt relief after realizing it. He also realized that the power of tier 3 king-rank Pokemon was not to be taken as a joke. There was a huge difference between the power of tier 2 and tier 3 king-rank Pokemon.

The friendly battle with Cody's Venusaur was different and this battle was different. Axel also realized that Slowemperor needed to learn and train a lot to reach such a level.

Slowemperor was alive but it was seriously injured. Axel immediately told it to use 'Slack off' to recover some Hp and told Shedinja to distract Arcanine.

Shedinja could only be hurt by dark and ghost-type moves. However, it could also suffer from a status effect. Axel knew that. That was why he had not told Shedinja to interfere in the fight.

After Charizard disposed of 5 king rank Pokemons, the pressure decreased a lot. So, he told other Pokemons to fight Shedinja's battle and help Slowemperor.

Cody's Venusaur was now free and it was coming towards Arcanine. However, Arcanine was still hell-bent on killing Slowemperor.

"Marcus, take over the battle. 'Shadow- darkness domain' and then use 'Shadow ball'."

The surroundings changed again. It was raining right now, so it was a bit darker than before but now the area around Arcanine turned completely dark. 'Shadow-darkness domain' had leveled up but Axel could see that there were some quality upgrades in its domain move.

The pre-domain move covered Shedinja, Arcanine, and Slowemperor. Slowemperor was still healing but Axel knew that if Arcanine hit it again, it would certainly die.

After using the pre-domain move, the enemy would suffer from the hallucination effect. That was why Axel told it to use 'Hypnosis'. However, even the 'Hypnosis' inside the domain was not having any effect. This was a powerful Pokemon.

Arcanine then gave a huge roar. It was also using a pre-domain move. So, the power of fire around it started to surround it and then it fired up a powerful 'Flamethrower'.

This must have been the most powerful 'Flamethrower' Axel had ever seen after Charizard's when it was using it during 'Transform'. Inside the domain, Shedinja had the power to slow and even hold the attack of the enemy. However, this would consume a lot of its stamina.

Shedinja used it and then tried to hold off the attack. It could have dodged it but since Slowemperor was just behind it, it could not. The move slowed down but the power of the move was so high and Shedinja could not hold it anymore.

It used every ounce of its energy and while holding the attack, it used the move 'Substitute' and raced towards Slowemperor. The attack hit the substitute and then it was still coming towards Shedinja and Slowemperor. Fortunately, Shedinja was faster and it was able to save both of them.

By this time, Shedinja had deactivated its pre-domain move cause it was consuming so much stamina. Another thing that worried Axel was that Shedinja was now feeling the status of being burned.

Now, Shedinja was now more defensive than before and it also had leveled up 'Endure' to a good level but it still had very low health. At first, Shedinja was using Arcanine's shadow to somehow defend itself from the burnt status but Axel knew that Shedinja would not be able to trap that shadow for so long.

So, Shedinja now had to be treated by Axel's Venusaur. Thankfully, Cody's Venusaur had arrived and Axel immediately told Shedinja and Slowemperor to back off.

First, he told his Venusaur to use 'Aromatherapy' on Shedinja and then told it to use 'Leech Whip' to cure Slowemperor.

Arcanine had lost a lot of stamina. It had used some big moves as it wanted to finish the battle. Halfway through the battle, it realized that even if it killed Slowemperor, it might not be able to defeat Venusaur. At first, it thought that Venusaur was also weak like Slowemperor but it was very wrong.

It now should somehow defeat Venusaur and then return back. It didn't want to die right now. It had lots of things to do. Its big brother had warned him to not go so early. Its big brother wanted to test these humans first but it was very arrogant and confident.

Now it was paying for it.

Axel didn't concentrate on that battle now. Charizard was injured, Slowemperor was injured and even Shedinja was injured. Most of his main Pokemon were injured.

Alakazam, Beedrill and Nidoking were still fine but today's battle was basically over. Axel could tell that Cody's Venusaur was going to win this battle. Arcanine had too much stamina. It was only slightly injured but it could fight properly with Venusaur now.

Arcanine wanted to get out of this battle but due to Venusaur's control ability, it was having a lot of problems.

Axel had not taken out his young Pokemons to fight right now. This was the battle of King Rank Pokemons and he didn't want to take the risk.

The battle between those 2 went around for 20 minutes and finally, Venusaur was able to deliver a killing blow. Arcanine was finally dead.

After seeing that their leader was dead, all the Pokemons retreated. Tier 1 king rank Pokemons had already died and only 2 tier 2 king rank Pokemons were able to retreat alive. Those 2 were Golem and Poliwrath.

Since all the wild Pokemons have retreated, today's tide battle was basically over.

Axel told Alon to be wary of ghost type Pokemon at night and also made some guards stand out. He then told others to treat their injuries. This was a massive victory and all the soldiers were hyped.

One of the main leaders of the tide battle had died today and they were able to kill many king rank and pseudo-king rank Pokemons. The deaths were not so much as Axel had expected.

Around 150 soldiers had died and it happened cause Axel was late to respond but after Axel came to the battlefield, he was able to hold off king-rank Pokemons and there were very less deaths.
