Chapter 26: First Official Meeting (I)

A/N: READ AUTHOR'S NOTE AT THE END! IT'S VERY IMPORTANT! I'M GIVING CREDIT TO SOMEONE WHO I HAD THE INSPIRATIONS TO WRITE THE NEXT FEW CHAPTERS FROM!

*****************

The next day, early in the morning, a green haired boy could be seen standing in front of the Dagoba Municipal Beach Park. He was wearing a tee-shirt with the world 'ALL M' written on it, blue pants and red shoes. He was walking in a circle while waiting for All Might. They had already planned to meet each other in a few minutes, but he was so excited that he couldn't sleep and finally came earlier than agreed. Suddenly, he heard a laugh.

"Ah! AH! Ah!"

This laughter was coming from the sky, and a few seconds later, a large "BOOM!" could be heard. Someone landed in front of him. It was All Might.

"Waaa!!"

He couldn't help but let out an exclamation of happiness. Even now, it was hard for him to think that meeting All Might yesterday wasn't a dream.

"AH AH AH! Midoriya shounen. You arrived sooner than I expected. I hope you're ready."

All Might laughed once again before entering the bay. Izuku nodded his head in excitement. But as he also entered the bay, he saw two figures sitting on a fridge. It was a boy lying down on the girl's lap while sleeping.

They were wearing simple blue shirts and pants. They looked younger than him, and while the boy had light indigo hair which covered his left eye, the girl had a blueish, off-white hair which was unkempt and parted in the middle of her forehead. She also had a small, brown horn sticking out of her right temple.

As though he noticed their presence, the boy opened his eyes, and Izuku was attracted to his right eye. His deep red eye seemed like they were looking into his soul. The worst was the indifference he could feel from the boy's eye when he looked at him even though his face showed a smile.

Izuku hid a shudder and stopped advancing. His legs were shivering a little. He was scared. He felt like he would die if he took another step.

"Shido!" Suddenly, the weird pressure vanished. The sense of impending doom also vanished.

"Sorry, I just wanted to verify something." The voice of the boy, Shido was light and at the same time, pleasing to hear. He felt that he had heard the voice somewhere in the past before. Before he could understand what was happening, he saw the boy standing in front of him. No one knew, but he had used 'Aleph' to reach this speed before reaching this place.

[A/N: Aleph is a skill for his spirit, Zafkiel]

Izuku, seeing the boy right in front of him, took two steps back in fear and stumbled a little. But just as he was about to fall, a hand caught him before raising him up.

"I'm usually nice and friendly to everyone, and I apologised if I seem like a prick for what I did." Shido started speaking.

"Bullshit! You're not nice and friendly to everyone!" Eri interrupted his talk and jumped down from the top of the fridge before walking towards them.

"Come on Eri, I was trying to leave a good impression on someone." Shido complained to the girl, Eri.

"Hmph, like you were actually trying to. You just want to tell him to give up right? I haven't stayed near you for five years for nothing." Eri humphed at Shido, who just scratched the back of his head with a grin on his face. "It seems like you know a lot about me..."

"But anyway, let us continue." Shido faced back towards Izuku and spoke,"Let me be frank with you, you should give up."

Izuku was stunned. After finally finding a way to accomplish his dream he was told to give up? Who did he think he was? The indignation and the rage made him lose his fear as he looked at the indigo haired boy in front of him.

Shido on the other hand, was looking at this strange, thin and sickly-looking boy in front of him. The way the boy reacted, he felt like he was an arrogant young master who threatened the main character of a Chinese novel and didn't know that he was nothing more than a sharpening tool, a stepping stone. He had read a lot of light novels over five years, and he felt great doing this for the first time. Sometimes being arrogant and boasting to others would allow for some stress relief, not that Shido had any stress to begin with.

Seeing the boy who was still silent and angry at his statement, he decided to explain himself a bit. "I'm saying this for your own good. You shouldn't inherit One for All."

"Why?! Is it because I'm quirkless?!"

Izuku wasn't stupid. In fact, he was the most intelligent person in his class. But due to him being quirkless, he had developed an inferiority complex and did not put his intelligence to full use. He didn't know who this pair of children were, but seeing how All Might didn't intervene, it was almost too easy to see that they didn't have a simple relationship. He was sure that if he didn't manage to convince these children in front of him, especially Shido, he would lose the key to his dream.

Shido heard his question and laughed. He shook his head in denial before answering,"Being quirkless or not doesn't matter to me. In fact, I don't even care whether someone has a quirk or not. I know that not all quirks are suitable for direct combat. One example is one of your favourite heroes, Sir Nighteye who has the ability to see the future when he touches you. It's not suitable for direct combat, but so what? Didn't he still manage to become a pro hero as well?"

"He-"

"And before you say that he is older than you, has better resources than you and some other excuse, you could at least do something to improve yourself. Do some basic workout, push-ups, sit-ups, squats, or even running. You could also used your intelligence to create gadgets and tools that can aid in making you a hero like the European hero who, despite having a useless quirk, used his intelligence by making armours. But did you ever do any of this? The girl beside me, Eri is younger than you and yet she's stronger than you. Her quirk is strong, I won't deny that, but even without her quirk, she managed to destroy everyone in the dojo where she's learning martial arts. She could wipe the floor with you before you even move a single step, without even breaking a sweat I would add."

Izuku heard his words, and became depressed again.

"So...why?"

He felt a little weird about the reason Shido gave but he decided to not mind it for the time being. The answer to his question this time, was instantaneous.

"You have the will to become a hero, that I cannot deny. But you're not determined enough. Because you're weak and lazy."

"Weak? And lazy?"

He, of course, knew that he was weak. But why could it be a reason to stop him? Being lazy was, however, something that never occurred to him. 'I'm lazy? Is it true?'

"Sigh, Uncl-All Might said something about you being a natural-born hero. But in my eyes that's a really weak excuse. There's no sin in having a weak body. Everyone is born weak. (That's a lie, I was born strong) It's something that can easily be trained. But a weak resolve and determination can be fatal. If your resolve isn't strong enough, you can never be a hero."

"What...?"

Izuku was confused. Shido saw this and continued,"Tell me. What's a hero to you?"

For Izuku, this question wasn't a problem. While others were playing and training their quirks, he was researching and investigating heroes.

"A hero is someone who fights to help and protect the people and brings smiles to them."

All Might, who was watching this confrontation a little farther together with Eri, smiled when he heard this. Truly, no matter the result of this discussion he wouldn't change Izuku being his successor, but it would surely dampen his mood if he didn't get a passing mark from Shido.

A/N: I watched Kimi No Na Wa yesterday, and I've got to say I don't regret it a single bit, especially when Taki drank Mitsuha's saliva and their reactions, Taki constantly groping Mitsuha's boobs and more. I'm not a pervert. The movie is just great.

Anyways, I have finally finished planning the general outline of this story including their powers, background, how to enter, and his harem members (if readers wants it).

If you guys want, the harem will only be four girls, no more no less, I have already decided on them so you guys have no say.

If you guys don't want, I'm just going to scrap it away.

BUUUUUTTTT, WAIT A SECOND. Before you decided to comment down on your choices, please don't. Please wait until later chapter before deciding. It may or may not change your decision so please don't comment your choice.

When the time is right, I'll ask you guys once again, so keep an open mind.

If you want to support me or/and want 14+ chapters in advance, link:

https://www.patr eon.com/spirits_everywhere

For the next few chapters, it would be identical to another's fanfic's chapters' content.

From:

THE TRIALS: Path Toward Godhood.[MY HERO ACADEMIA] (MATURE CONTENT) by REDLAW, now has another account by the name of HIKARU_GENJI.

He has made some good fanfictions, and would recommend you guys to read them!

So before you say anything about plagarism, I have received his permission to use his chapters here, but its only for the next few chapters, about the next 13 or so chapters. After all, my mc will go on a totally different path from the original fanfic. So yeah, hope you guys enjoy the next few chapters, which would be similar to the original novel.
