Chapter 69 - Eggs

"One," Reya whispered and ducked as low as she could. A huge sound was heard behind her. Eyes wide watched as a huge tree flew past her and knocked out Bane's henchmen's.

Few of them escaped the attack and started shooting rapidly in the direction of Haily and Jaiye. Bullets flew past her startling Reya even more. She ducked low to the ground and slowly crawled over to the tree for safety.

Right then, a burly man pulled out a machine gun from his back.

"Run!" Reya shouted and dashed towards them. 'They shouldn't get hurt…..' she desperately thought as she watched the bullets rush towards her. But at the last minute, Jaiye jumped forward and hugged her tight. The bullets that were fast approaching froze mid air. It was as if they were stopped by a layer away from them.

Reya watched this with her eyes wide open. She peered up at her, "your powers are awesome,"

Jaiye nodded. If one looked closer, they would be able to see her slightly raised lips.
