Christy
"She has dreams to be, an envy so she's, starving you know cover girls eats nothing she says! Beautiy is pain and there's beauty in everything, what's a little bit of hunger?" I sang aloud dancing joyfully to 'Scare to your beauty by Allessia Caracciolo'
"Christy?!" Mum called from downstairs.
I sigh as I pause the music, I drag my foot downstairs where she was standing with John.
"Mum?" I groan.
"Am going to work today, so you have to look after John." She said.
"What?!" This is not the first time Mum is been called back to the hospital on a Saturday, pregnant woman just have to be too many in this city!
Mum is a gynaecologist I understand that, but today I was planning on hanging out with Elie in his tree house. We were going to watch movies, since Elie doesn't watch TV I promised him I would bring my laptop along, not like he is dying to watch he didn't seem to care.
"Honey, you know that I do my job to pay bills and give you guys a better future, you just have to look after John." She spoke calmly.
"John is not a baby, why should I babysit him?" I crossed my arms.
Mum sigh, "he is just nine, how on earth do you want him to look after himself, I -" she was interrupted by her phone ringing, she quickly answered and hung up.
"Have fun honey." She peck john's check with a kiss.
"Bye mum." John wave.
As soon as the door was shut I returned to my room. I put my laptop in my backpack and some stuff that I'll need.
"John?" I looked around for my burden of a brother. "John!" I was getting frustrated with his hid and seek. "John Oliver Evan this is not funny!" I screamed while climbing back upstairs, I bursted in his room, he was laying on the floor with his legs on the wall listening to some music on his headphones.
"JOHN!" I yelled. He rolled his eyes at me. I walk up to him and grab his headphones.
"Hey!" He stood up trying to reach for it, but Mr John was just too little in height.
"Pack your stuff we're going somewhere." I said.
"I don't wanna." He crossed his arms with a pout, anyone would find him cute with his two side shaved hairstyle and his light skin, but I found him annoying! He was a spoilt brat!
"You would do what I said! When I say it! Now pack your stuff!" I said sternly, he knew too well what I was capable of doing when am pissed, he shrink and nodded quickly.
"Sorry, sorry, I'll pack!" He race to his closet and start packing the necessary stuff.

"Christy why are we in the woods? Is not cool here!" He whined.
"I'm sick of your whining, just zip up!" I growl on his face and he covered his mouth.
We walk further more in the woods and soon enough we were in the tree house. John was always fascinated by tree house, but he doesn't seem to like this one.
"Christy? Can we, um, go home?" He asked once we were in and he saw the writings on the wall and how gloomy the cabin was.
I huff, "oh please."
The moment Elie noticed us, he made a brisk movement, I found a little too suspicious but decided to shrug it off, he was still tugging on his turkey neck sleeve though.
"Hi! This is my brother John, sorry I brought him along Mum had to go to work." I said nervously.
He didn't stop looking at John without a word.
"Christy, I don't like his eyes!" John hid behind me, he wasn't the wimpy type, I really don't understand why he would behave like one.
"Sorry," I apologize to Elie who was now working on his figures.
"John what you said was mean!" I whispered harshly.
"But -"
"Hush! Just sit down and don't move." I instructed.
He mumbled something under his breath before going to sit close to the window.
"What was that?" I demanding in a stern tone.
"Nothing." He huffed.
I placed my laptop on the little table in the center of the room where we all could see. At first I tried playing vampire diaries, I did love demon Salvatore but he didn't, not like he showed it, he barely glance at my laptop, John was bored too, he would toss to different corners every often and groan.
Then I came up with a brilliant idea, 'Anabelle 3' the evil dull. Mum doesn't want me to watch it cause it's a horror movie, blah, blah, blah.
Am old enough to watch it now so I'll cease my opportunity. Just like I planned they were both engross in the horror movie, John was just a child it was okay if he was scared, me too, that dull is truly evil, and just maybe mum was right, in deed it scared me, not like I cared, three hours from now and everything would be forgotten.
Elie was my main problem, I didn't see him blink once, he was just looking at the screen with all his being, he didn't move a muscle, he watch each of the bloody scene like the were nothing, his face was still emotionless but I was scared for him, I know he was depressed and depressed people don't tend to make good decision after watching horror movies, that contain lots of blood shed.
"Um... Elie?" I whispered trying to gain his attention, he didn't make an effort to move, he had totally zoned out.
"Christy, am scared." John held my waist tightly.
My gaze dropped on Elie's hand, he was holding a pocket knife dangerously. I got scared for us and him. I did what every reasonable adult would do, I switch off the laptop only then did he blink and looked at me.
"Er... enough of Anabelle for today, John is freaking out." I said nervously. Still silent he rose up, grab his jacket and left.
"I don't like your boyfriend." John sounded scared, but I didn't pay much attention to his baby attitude.
"He us not my boyfriend, that's how he was created, and don't you ever say that!" I warned. He mumbled something under his breath once again and this time I smack the back of his head and he yelp.
We got bored and decided to play our flutes, John could play the amazing grace rhythm so well like wise me.
The door flip opened and he climbed in looking more relief than when he left, you could barely notice. My brother tensed up and ran to my side.
I was expecting him to take off his jacket but he kept it, I also notice his wet pocket knife. What is wrong with him?
I broke the silence with the amazing grace note I played on my flute. John sang the lyrics while I played it was so harmonious.
My flute was suddenly snatched out of my grips by him. "Stop." He simply said. I was shocked by his action.
"I hate you and your eyes! My sister didn't do anything to you, your tree house is so stupid! You aren't normal, staying here is like seating around some grave yard!" John spat.
"John!" I yelled.
"I told you I didn't wanna leave the house but you made me! I hate your boyfriend!" He look at me straight in the eyes and keep yelling. I was so upset by his bratty attitude. Mum had spoilt him too much.
"Bad boys gets time out!" I yelled pointing at the corner.
Elie came in between us with his emotionless stature, "you can go to the park." He proposed.
"Am out of here!" John crossed his arms.
I sigh, "fine." We both grab our jackets and head to the park.
"Am sorry about what John said earlier, he didn't mean it." I said to him when we got to the park and was setting on a bench leaving enough distance while John was hanging out with some other kids.
"He is your only younger brother, you got to love him." His words were directed to me, but he was staring at his feet with slump shoulders like he always do, I noticed he had problem keeping eye contact, he is always monotonous, Dull! Lifeless! And Colorless, the worst part of it, is I don't know what to say that will make him cheer up! I hate it when am speechless, maybe after all they were right am just too antisocial.
"Yeah... I'm too hard on him huh?" I sigh, "I'll sort things out when we get home."
We stayed in silence for a while before I had the idea to show him my bible, I've been using it since I was five, dad gave it to me. I just wanted to show him my favourite verses, so it could be less awkward.
"Hey, El! Look at this." I reach in my bag and pulled my Bible out.
His gaze left the floor and dropped on the bible. I couldn't believe what happened next.
His eyes were half wide, he scramble to the end of the bench, his face still not showing any emotions but his eyes did, he ran his fingers through his hair as he stare at the holy book in terror. His chest raising and falling quickly.
"Are you okay?" I quickly put my Bible away. He got up briskly keeping the long distance between us.
"Hey, I'm so.." I tried to come closer but he only back off, I swear I saw blood creep down his nostrils before he wrap his hand around his nose and ran off. He looked like some of those vampire scared of garlic.
I watch him run back to the woods. I took a glance at the Bible then the path on which he took, something must be up with him, or maybe my Bible made him have an unpleasant flashback? I've never seen anyone react like he just did when the see a Bible. And the blood in his nostrils? I just couldn't understand.
