Swear My Allegiance

Angeal and Arvid felt like they didn't belong.

With the angels' sudden silence and with them knowing what's going on even though they haven't communicated with each other, the two of them felt like they shouldn't even be here.

It was as if the room was filled with bomb mines. If they move, they would trigger everything to explode.

The silence was so loud... they thought that the statement was just a figure of speech but with the situation that they are in now, it is believable.

This oxymoron, a figure of speech, "deafening silence", was indeed a statement that was accurate now.

"I-I'm sorry," Angeal spoke, breaking the silence. "If I was with a person you found dangerous, I did not know. I--"

"N-no!"

Devin interrupted her, a hurt expression on his face. Angeal felt that she did something wrong that's why she apologized, making Devin feel bad for making her feel this way.
