Chapter XXV

Myung-Dae's Pov:

I saw as her arms fell onto her sides lifeless, I saw how her face contoured into one of pain and discomfort. I saw how her legs gave up. I saw how the energy finally drained out of her. 

I caught her before she fell onto the dirty ground. I kept her in my arms and carried her towards my horse frantically. How I wish she wouldn't have escaped. How I wish she would have stayed and let me show her how much I love her. How she would have stayed and given us a chance. I know she is angry, she has every right to be. I have never confronted her about the attack on her kingdom but the truth is that she and I both know that she knows the actual truth.

How I wish that situations would have been different. How her father should have never backed down on his promise. How Chun-Hei and I would have been happy by now. But her father had to destroy everything.
