Chapter 30

Did I just say that out loud, crap I hope she doesn't think I'm desperate. I look up to see her smiling and just gripped my hand tighter. I worried for nothing. So we took a long way to Azazel's, just so we could spend some more time together. I told her if she learns one song by the time we go to the underworld, I'll make her a guitar. "I'll learn more then just one song to get a handmade guitar from you." She said with determination. I just smile.

We arrive at Azazel's and I knock three times. Azazel opens the door. "You took your time, it should have only taken you about ten minutes." He said looking at us then he looked down at our hands and nods. "So that's why you were late, you should of just said. Ah young love makes this old heart feel." Azazel said theatricality. I blush but kept my hand in Ruby's. "Old man this is my knight Ruby, Ruby this old pervert is Azazel governor of the fallen angels." I said introducing them.

"So have you brought everything?" I ask while taking out a guitar for Ruby and a pen and paper to draw some basic cords onto. "Yes I have and why are you taking out a guitar?" Azazel asked looking at the guitar. I pass it to Ruby. "It's for Ruby to practice, while I research." I said as I started to draw the basic cords. "Oh I was wondering what your girlfriend would be doing, does Sirzechs know yet. Oh don't worry I'll tell Vali." He said trying to tease me. "Oh that would be helpful oh and tell Vali, Kara wants to see him. And yes Sirzechs does know." I say trying to sound nonchalant but I'm blushing crimson.

I look at Ruby at she is blushing just as much as me. (*Oh how the young grow so fast. It feels like yesterday you were a baby and now already dating.*) Sera said teasing as usual. I sigh and continue to draw. "So are we officially dating then?" Ruby asks with a longing look. I look at her blush and just nodded my head and then looked down. I feel like I'm going to die from embarrassment. I look up and see Ruby with a very big smile.

I start looking forward to exploring different worlds with Ruby. "Ruby you should read as much as you can, and in a few years I'll have a surprise for you." I whispered into her ear, and give her a quick kiss on the cheek. Ruby blushed and it was so crimson I thought she might pass out.

About three hours later. "I did it. Hahaha I did it." I said laughing, Azazel looked at me and the thing in my hand. "You actually made a sacred gear. I can't believe it, I wonder what Michael will say?" He said laughing to himself. "Are you in contact with Michael?" I ask hoping I might get my last task done. "Yeah but I don't know if he will take what I say seriously, why do you want to meet him? Don't you want to meet god instead?" He ask with a smile.

"Well I have a theory after reading about the war and me being able to do this is just icing on the cake." I said and looked at Azazel with a knowing look. He looked at Ruby and said "let's go talk somewhere else." I look at Ruby as well and say. "Ruby can be trusted, she will keep the secret. So is it true?" I ask knowing the answer. "Yes, god of the bible is dead, and yes that is why the war ended." Azazel said with unusual seriousness.

"Ok but why did you go to war in the first place, I just don't get why a god would attack something he created?" I ask trying to understand what he was thinking. "I don't like to speak ill of the dead but the god of the bible was an asshole who tried to control everything but was bad at it. So when he couldn't control something he would try to destroy it." Azazel said with a sad expression.

"How's Michael then?" I ask hoping he is still nice. "Michael is a good dude, but he had to implement some bad things, because the god of the bible was so controlling he wouldn't even let Michael into the control room, so at the moment it only just holding. That's why we can make sacred gears." He explained.
