Alex had to use every speck of his willpower to continue standing still from the moment he saw Claire coming down the aisle. She had never looked more beautiful and had a smile so wide it threatened to split her face as she walked toward him. It was incredibly tempting to sprint over to her at top speed and bring her to the end of the aisle himself.

He kissed her deeply after the ceremony concluded because he didn't know how else to express his feelings. He had known very early on in their friendship that he wanted to spend the rest of his life by her side and now he was able to do that in an official capacity as her husband.

The woman he had thought of as his family since before he fully knew what that meant was legally his family at last. Nobody could tell him otherwise anymore!
