37.5: All that flour

(Before the fight:)

"Are you sure you wanna use all that flour?" Luka watched her as she barreled down the last sack above the others.

Marinette was now covered in white dust but she still looked dazzling in his eyes. She clapped her hands huffing then turned to him with a proud grin. "It's the best solution we have."

"Chat won't like it."

"Of course he won't." She rolled her eyes. "He'll just have to deal with it."

"What about your parents? If they find out you used all of your...You won't have a chance to replenish everything."

"I know." She hesitated. "I'll just have to count on my grandpa to stall them."

"I hope you know what you're doing, Marinette."

She gave him a crooked grin. "Let's go."

(After battle:)

Viperion and Multimouse landed on the Dupan-Cheng household's rooftop just in time for their disguises to lose power. Mullo and Sass came tumbling from them as the two fell to their knees panting.

"Well that was...a bumpy ride." wheezed Luka.

"Like lumps of dough. We're never doing that again." added Marinette.

"Tell me about it." mumbled Luka.

Wayzz popped out of the sunroof and hovered towards the two checking for injuries. "You are extremely exhausted." He concluded.

"As always." Marinette beamed.

"No, no.." Wayzz shook his head. "Your aura is weakened Marinette."

Mullo came closer, "I agree with Wayzz here. You've exerted too much dividing yourself a hundred times."

"One hundred?!" Wayzz exclaimed. "That is recklessness! I didn't allow you to use your powers this way. You're gonna kill yourself."

"That's what I told her." Luka added.

"Not helping." She leaned against the wall. "At any rate, we found out that the monster indeed was from Hawkmoth. I'll have to investigate further for..." Her eyes rolled up and her body dropped to the floor like a ragdoll.

"Marinette!" Luka ran to her side, pulling her up to his arms. The kwamis flew over worried of their master's state. Marinette was gasping and her rosy cheeks looked pale. Sass inched to touch her forehead and recoiled from the shock.

"She's boiling." He yelped.

"Take her to her bed." Wayzz instructed frantically. Luka scooped her up and ran towards the trap door as Mullo and Sass kept the entrance open. As soon as they got in, Wayzz looked up to the sky extending his emotions to the vast horizon.

"Guilt is such a powerful omen. It either strengthens your resolve or breaks you before you could even accomplish anything."
