Shan's heart skipped a beat the moment her phone rang and she saw it was Jinhai calling.

Was it possible Yun had told him about her date with Yanju? But why was she feeling so guilty when she wasn't doing anything wrong? Besides, she had hinted to him once that she wasn't interested in dating a younger guy and she knew he caught it then.

"Hey!" She greeted with false cheerfulness the moment the call connected.

"What's wrong? Why do you sound that way?" Jinhai asked with a frown when he detected the slight change in Shan's voice. 

"Nothing, I'm fine. Why?" Shan asked guiltily. 

"You don't sound okay. Is something wrong?" Jinhai asked.

"No. Not at all." Shan replied. Maybe it would be best if she mentioned it to him... or not. She quickly shook the thought off her head.
