The Chieftain pondered, "Is this all what the Moon God told you?"
Li Yao was startled, realizing he had said a bit too much, but he knew the Moon God certainly would not emerge again over such a matter, so he said without blushing or panting, "Of course it was the Moon God who told me. How else would a new recruit like me know about such ancient secrets?"
A flash of confusion passed through the High Priest's eyes, "Did the Moon God have any specific instructions?"
Li Yao shrugged and responded, "The Moon God only clarified the situation, there were no other instructions."
Only then did everyone believe Li Yao's words. The Moon God would not truly interfere with mundane affairs, just as in the ancient wars where the Moon God had not really taken action. Of course, it may have been that the level at which they intervened was too high for others to be aware of, but it was well-known that the Moon God did not meddle in any affairs.
