The lands of Terra are ruled by multiple kingdoms and even empires of various races. They are all very distinct and are ruled by a specific species, no major population centers have mixed races, though they do co-exist there is always a dominating race, and some don't even cater to other races.

One such place is the "Arcadian Empire", an empire ruled by human's. It is located on the middle of the continent and it's territories stretch from the west all the way to the east in an unbroken line. The Empire is known for manning the "demonic front", the border between between the "Demon's Realm" and stand as the bulwark against the demonic horde. Thus they share strong ties with the countries of the south, out of necessity for their collective survival.

In the eastern fringe of this Empire is a port-town surrounded on all sides, in the east, a vast ocean, on the south, a magical forest, in the north, demonic plains, and the west, a great mountain range. But this town named "Almia" holds an interesting little detail, in that a man named "Adrien" (who happens to be a super-genius and a powerful Esper.) has found himself reborn here to start his life anew, but with parents this time around.

'Who are these people, I wonder?' he pondered, as he sent a surge of [telepathy] to read their memories.

'My mother. Name: Raven. Age: 27. a full time adventurer, and an elite one too at that.'

'My father. Name: Michael. Age: 25. a dedicated house-husband'

'Okay.'

that's it, really? that's as far as you're going to read into them? seriously?

'Probably better off just getting to know them the normal as I grow up instead.' yeah, he's got a point there. 'Raven and Michael huh, they seem like nice enough people. And have a healthy relationship too, so no problems on that front. They've been married for two years and I'm their first attempt at child-bearing, so no older siblings for me.'

'Now, {Magic}.' finally. we're getting to some good stuff. 'It's very similar to [ESP], but definitely different enough to be distinct' he thought as he compared the two powers

'[ESP] is a power derived from the [MIND] and allows [Espers] access to psychic abilities. It's powered an energy called [Ether] that permeates all sentient creatures as well as the atmosphere, it is generated from the [Core] and [MIND Array] formed from the gathering of the psychic points. The average for psychic points 70-200 in a person. It's not a power solely unique to humans, as the other races of home-Terra also had the chance of forming a [Core] and some beast could also posses a [MIND]. Use of these powers are categorized in different schools called [Styles] of which I can use all.' he thought whilst recalling all that he knew on his gift

'{Magic} on the other hand is a power derived from a {SOUL}, an extra-dimensional plane not unlike the [MIND] but located on the body instead. It's powered by {Mana}, an energy inherit in all forms of life- presumably - and permeates the atmosphere. Ones ability to generate and store {Mana} is determined by their {Magic Core} and their {Magic Circuits} which is formed like the [MIND Array] through the gathering of {Magic Points} within a persons soul. Those who can use {Magic} are generally called {Magicians}. The use of {Magic} is also separated into different schools called {Elements}.'

'Now then.' began Adrien as he started to meditate in the womb 'Why don't I check if I have any aptitude for magic'

he then focused and searched within himself, using his own mothers memories of activating her {Magic Core} for the first time as he searched for his own {SOUL}

' ... ...! HOLY! Damn!' Exclaimed Adrien in his mind as he went to double check his newly discovered {SOUL} 'Now I know how those doctors felt when they scanned me for [ESP]. Who'd have thought. I mean, it'd have made sense if I lost my psychic powers but I managed to carry that over somehow.' he pondered as he counted the amount of points he had

'So.. a thousand eh.' Adrien said 'Well I'll be damned. There's the jackpot then there is this.' he then suddenly had a bright idea regarding his new found {SOUL} 'Wonder what'll my parents think if I suddenly started using magic as a baby. Then they call a professional and see my {Magic core} and {Magic Circuits}. I'd be like the coming of Merlin or something.'

he then started to focus on his {Magic Points} and started gathering them but the irregular coil pattern he had just used for his [MIND]

'That may also get some sort of reaction from them. Well, I have it seems another month before my birth, and I should be able to finish before then. Oooohhh~~ I can't wait'
