Chapter 118: The Mother Tree (Part 4)

There was a massive crater where the Death Eaters once stood. The reason people shrieked in fear was because of the blood and limbs scattered around the crater. The wails of survivors echoed in the deafening silence that had gripped the whole Hogsmeade. The painful wails of the survivors snapped the onlookers off their stupor and they once again clamoured towards Hogwarts. They also looked towards the flying figures and some of them let out sighs of relief as they continued to flew towards the west. The onlookers watched as the five people landed on a hill towards the west of Hogsmeade. They didn't delve on the matter anymore and continued their run towards the castle.

{A FEW MOMENTS AGO}

Carter said in an agitated voice, " These recruits should end this fast. Why are they fighting the servants of Tom Riddle? They are wasting your time, Your Highness."

Alexander smiled and said, " It doesn't matter but the item should be protected at all costs. Since, it is nearly in our grasp, I am going to start with the conquest of this world." Alexander subtly covered the whole planet with his king's might and first conquered the core and mantle of the planet. Then, waited for his men to arrive. He watched as one of the recruits finally got tired of the continuous spell fire and simply blasted the death eaters to dust, only a few survived the explosion. He continued to watch as they landed in front of him and bowed in respect. Alexander nodded and said, " Give it to me."

One of the recruits placed a small black box in front of Alexander and stepped back. Alexander summoned the box to him and slowly let his king's might sweep into the box and began to examine it's contents. The box was in reality a shrunken seven compartment trunk, which contained the necessities and tool of trade of their captive. Alexander also found what he was looking for. It was a small wooden box which had faded carvings. Alexander knew that these faded carvings and box, were just a ruse enacted by the ancient magi to confuse to any robbers. In that time period, it was common for powerful magus to outlive their families so many preserved items of their decreased loved ones. The carvings were in reality, the standard runes used to preserve such possessions. Moreover, it was frowned upon to do any unsavory things to such items as it was a sure way to make enemies with the owner and gather the animosity of like-minded magus.

Alexander destroyed the outer cover of the truck and took a few steps back as all the things poured out the trunk in a heap. Alexander summoned the wooden box to him and send a small amount of his magic into the defensive runes and deactivated them. The runes drew power from the seeds stored inside the box. The seeds were invaluable as they acted as magic batteries and a special ritual was required to grow the seed into a sapling, till then, they would continue to act as magic batteries. He opened the box and found three small light green coloured seeds lying inside. Alexander spoke up, " We have the item. Tobby!!!!"

Tobby shifted in front of Alexander and immediately his eyes were drawn to the three seeds lying in the box. He asked in an excited voice, " Master!!! Is this what I think, it is?"

Alexander simply nodded and said, " I want to take the seeds back to the kingdom." Alexander quickly conquered the hill they were standing on and established the realm gate back to the kingdom. Tobby closed the box and literally jumped through the realm gate. Alexander laughed and said, " He is very excited. Now, let's conquer this world and return." Alexander conquered the world and gave the basic information package to his new subjects. Alexander could sense their bewilderment, denial, awe and fear through the newly established connection. Alexander turned towards Carter and said, " I want our Public Relations Department to settle these guys in. I am going to conquer the moon and the sun. Then, I will assimilate this world. Always remember, the balance between the three must be maintained till we advance to the next level."

Alexander shifted to the moon and swiftly conquered it. Alexander was a Chaos Dragon now, he didn't need food, water or oxygen to survive. His overall durability and resistive power had also increased massively. Also, his magic had become incredibly potent than before but evolution to chaos dragon, had made his advancement much more difficult. Now, he needed 500 MP to awaken a single cell. However, his cells were now capable of holding 650 MP and producing 100 MP per hour. In nutshell, the pros heavily outweighted the cons.

Alexander then shifted to the sun and lost 30 percent of his magical power for his unnecessary stunt but he wanted to test his limits. Alexander conquered the sun and again shifted back to the moon. He didn't shift again to the realm gate and simply flew back to the realm gate. Alexander addressed his people standing near the realm gate, " The conquest is complete, I will now return to the kingdom and assimilate this world. You should also return with me." Alexander then, returned back to his kingdom and shifted to the platform and assimilated the newly conquered world. He then called Tobby to him. Tobby appeared before his master and said in a solemn tone, " We are ready, Master."

Alexander nodded and said, " Their sacrifice will not be forgotten." Tobby just sniffled but said nothing. The two of them shifted to a a new location. Alexander examined his surroundings and found that he was right now in a huge clearing within an massive forest. Right now, the clearing was filled with thousands of elves and more were standing on the branches of tress surroundinh them. Infact, all the elven population was present here. Alexander knew that he was within the Elven Sanctuary. Alexander had given an area equivalent to a sector, to the elves to live in.

The Elven Sanctuary was located in the buffer zone around the Royal Sector. Alexander had left a buffer zone around all the sectors so that the traffic and transportation could be monitored effectively. The biggest buffer zone was around the Royal Sector, measuring upto the combined area of 50 sectors. The whole buffer zone was armed to teeth by the army. The Royal Academy was also situated within the buffer zone. Everyone was allowed entry into the Capital, once a year due to the amount of people present in the kingdom.

Alexander had already expanded the Royal Sector to cover an area equal to 10 sectors but it was not enough at all. He was again planning to expand the sector in a few decades. Alexander had allowed the construction of resting cities inside the buffer zones. This cities were a hub of trade and commerce in the kingdom. Each of these cities were managed by the army. Alexander was snapped out of his thoughts as three old female elves stepped forward and bowed towards him. Alexander frowned and said, " Will you not reconsider your decision, Elders of Elven Race?"

A old motherly looking elf smiled a kind smile and said, " Master, it warms our hearts that you care so much about us but we want to do this, for our race, for you and for the kingdom. Our sacrificed life force will be enough for the sapling of the mother tree to grow. This will help our race immensely. We may have not directly served you like Tobby and Rose but we know that you care equally for all of us, Master, but we have to this."

Alexander simply nodded and said, " I understand your feelings. Go Ahead!!!" Alexander watched as the Elven elders planted the seeds in the three directions. They then, wrote elven runes with their blood and laid down in the center of the runic circle. The runes flashed and the bodies of the elders withered to dust, which was also absorbed in the ground. After a few seconds, a small sapling grew from the ground and continued to grow till it reached a height of two feet. Alexander spoke up, " This is a moment of joy and sorrow for us. The elders have left us but the mother trees have come into existence. We will not forget the caring elders.These three mother trees will be named after the elders who have sacrificed their lives for it. You can pay your respects to the elders now " Alexander watched as the relatives of the elders performed a simple ceremony for the their decreased family members and then, moved to the back of the clearing. Alexander stepped forward and paid his respect then, he shifted back to his palace. After his departure, the elves, one by one stepped forward and paid their respects. After a few hours, only the direct relatives were left, who remained in the clearing till dusk. In the end, only the three saplings remained in the clearing, shining softly under the starlight.
