Chapter 245

The party would not start for another hour and at last, when Li Zi Yun was feeling a bit better, she left the room with Wang Yu. She looked a mess now. It had taken more than an hour to get dressed and get her makeup. Now everything was spoiled. Li Zi Yun did not mind but she did want the guest to look at her weirdly.

Li Zi Yun asked Wang Yu, "How do I look?"

Wang Yu brushed a strand of Li Zi Yun's hair from her forehead; all he said was, "Pretty as always"

Li Zi Yun shook her head. There was no use of asking Wang Yu. She murmured mostly to herself, "Should I have stayed at home?"

Wang Yu answered quickly, "We can leave even now. No one can stop us"

"Li Shu will kill me. Come let's go out"

After fixing her makeup, Li Zi Yun walked out with Wang Yu.

The elders of Wang family, Zhao family, Wu family were sitting in the garden area and Wang Yu took Li Zi Yun there. There was still some time before the party starts and since Grandfather Wang wanted to see Li Zi Yun, Wang Yu had to take her there. The garden was behind the house and they had to walk through an opening in building to reach the garden. Wang Yu and Li Zi Yun were holding hands as they slowly walked to the garden. A figure was standing there looking at the couple as they entered the arch like structure. The arch extended for a few meters before they got out of the passage.

Li Zi Yun and Wang Yu was about to take the next step and reach the garden. Suddenly Wang Yu pulled Li Zi Yun to his side causing both of them to almost fall down. Wang Yu held Li Zi Yun protectively and did not move an inch.

Everyone heard a loud crash and in the place that Li Zi Yun would have stood the next minute, there was a glass jar cracked into pieces. Someone had dropped it from the window above.

"Baby are you okay?"

Li Zi Yun could not say a word. She was shaking uncontrollably. If the glass had fallen on her head, her skull would have been cracked open. This had been her life when she was at the Li family home. She could not go anywhere without looking around carefully lest Li Xin Yi or Li Cheng Zhi were trying to some pull something on her.

Li Zi Yun's hands moved automatically to her stomach. She had to save her children; she cannot let anyone hurt her babies. Wang Yu tried to move from Li Zi Yun's side but her legs gave out and she could not stand without any support. He helped her sit down on the ground and Wang Yu got up and moved to the other side to look at the window. Mrs. Wang, both the Mrs. Zhao and Mrs. Wu had rushed to Li Zi Yun's side. They were equally rattled by what happened.

When everyone looked up, Wang Yiran was standing there in the window looking down. No one said a word and everyone was staring at her blankly without saying a word. Wang Yiran could not understand why everyone was looking at her in such a way.

Wang Yiran rushed down, not sure what was going on down there. Everyone was looking at her as if she was a psychopath and she wanted to know why. It took a whole minute for Wang Yiran to understand what was going on down there and why everyone was looking at her in such a way.

The first word Wang Yiran said was, "It wasn't me"

Grandfather Wang said to his daughter in law Mrs. Wang, "Take her home. Now" he was trying hard to remain calm but this was not something that he could forgive. Wang Yiran had tried to kill his granddaughter in law and the unborn kids and grandfather Wang has had enough of Wang Yiran now.

Mrs. Wang almost dragged Wang Yiran out, "Let's go home and talk"

But Wang Yiran kept repeating it again and again, "Mom brother I did not do that. Trust me"

Wang Yu did not even look at her and so were here grandparents. Mr. Wang was busy making phone calls and instructing his wife to take Wang Yiran home immediately.

Wang Yiran was almost pleading now, "Grandpa I would never do something like this. Look at me, you know about me."

When no one said a word, Wang Yiran continued, "I would never harm sister in law. Please listen to me"

Grandfather Wang waved his hand dismissively signaling his daughter in law to leave immediately. His granddaughter has already has already tried to kill a pregnant woman and made his family a laughing stock and there was no excuse for her crime.

Li Zi Yun turned around searching for Zhao Ming Mei and found her standing a few feet away. There was no reaction on Zhao Ming Mei's face. When Zhao Ming Mei felt a pair of eyes on her, she turned around and looked at Li Zi Yun straight in her eyes with a blank face.

Wang Yu turned around to look at Li Zi Yun. A sudden thought came to his mind. He was not sure why that thought crossed his mind but he felt something odd about the whole situation. Wang Yu pushed the thought to the back of his mind and focused on what was happening currently.

Wang Yu helped Li Zi Yun to get up, "Come let's go home"
