Life is a cycle. A vicious cycle where for the most part they end up being happy, in love and contented. But the majority is not always the only part of the equation. There are also us. The minority, those who for some reason never ends up being happy, in love but never returned and just wishing.
Wishing for things the happy protagonist have. I mean she is pretty, kind and so in love. They were so inlove and all I can feel as I look at them is how I wish that was me.
That was me, the reason you smile, laugh and the one you accept. That it was me that you embrace as the sun bids farewell for the day. That it was me you comfort when my nightmares plague me at night. But it was her.
It was her who puts the smile on you, it was her that makes you laugh, it was her that you loved, not me. It was never me. Now, look where we are, you looking down on me from your place high up the throne you craved for since you knew who you are.
I guess the sun is meant to stay in the sky no matter what, while I was just one of the mere mortals basking in the light you shared but something you deprived me of. Now, I know I should not have given you everything, now I wish for something else. I wish to be born again and this time I will not be swayed.
This time I will choose my destiny, I will not be in love with the idea of love. This time I will not love you. This time I will speak and I will be heard through the kingdom and I will shake the very foundation from which our kingdom stands. And this time I will have you pay. Pay for my brothers blood, my fathers, my mothers, my child who never got to see the light of the day. This time it will be you screaming in the dead of the night and I will make sure of that.
For all the kindess and loved I had given you. For all the sarcifices I made, people I left the blood you spilled I will have you pay . This will be my purpose. This is my curse onto you and the throne you so loved and the kingdom you so preciously cherished.
This will be my vengeance. The despair I have felt, the tears I have shed and the blood I have lost I will have you pay for it a thousand times over. You shall reap what you sowed, your majesty.
Glory to the bright sun of our kingdom whose light will be lost in years to come and whose light will be bathed in the blood of its children.
Glory to the sun of our empire.
