Visit

"Good afternoon, Mrs. Lim…" Bati ng sekretarya ni Severus kay Reese.

"I'm sorry for coming all the way here without notice," Paumanhin ni Reese. "Is Severus busy?" Reese asked.

"No, Mr. Lim just finished his meeting. You can enter his office, Mrs. Lim." Wika ni Secretary Cindy sa kanya.

Reese knocked at Severus' office before entering. She carried a paper bag that contains the lunch she bought outside for him.

Reese wanted to talk to Severus about something and somehow this how it turned out to be.

"Come in." A tired voice exclaimed.

Reese entered Severus' office and he could see some pile of paper works on his table and she saw Severus yawning as if he didn't sleep all night.

Maybe he still has his hangover, drinking on weekdays is not a good idea to begin with --- especially when you still have work the next day.

It would be troublesome to deal with headaches and whatnot.

"You shouldn't have drunk alcohol in the first place." Panimula ni Reese at tila ba nabigla ito na makita siya sa loob ng opisina

"Reese." He stood up from his chair. "You never mentioned to me that you'll be visiting."

Reese snorted. "Yea, right." Wika niya at nilapag sa lamesa na nasa gitna ng opisina nito ang bitbit niyang paper bag. "Lunch?" Aniya.

A chuckle escaped from Severus' lips and he sat on the couch just across where she was sitting. Nilabas niya ang pagkain na in-order niya sa isang restaurant.

"It's unusual for you to visit me at my office." Wika ni Severus at kinuha ang tila lalagyan ng pagkain na dinala ni Reese.

Reese frowned. "Bawal ba? You should be thankful that I visited and bought you lunch instead of nagging you all day because you went home drunk last night." Wika niya at mahinang natawa.

"Oh, about that… I'm sorry…" Wika ni Severus. "Wait, you have classes today, right?"

Tumango si Reese at sumandal sa kinauupuan.

"Yes, because I have something to do so I couldn't attend class. I guess Ms. Ann forgot to tell you about it."

"Yea, you left earlier than me today so I thought you went to school." He took a bite from the food he has.

"Oh, sorry." Wika ni Reese. "And also, before I forget about telling you this --- may welcome party para kay lolo bukas, it would just be a private one and only the closest family will be invited."

"Okay, then I'll make time tomorrow." Wika ni Severus at nagpatuloy sa pagkain.

Reese looked at her husband who was actively eating the food she bought and Reese wondered why he isn't asking about what last night?

Hindi niya ba maalala kung sino ang nag-uwi sa kanya sa villa?

"I wanted to ask you something." Wika ni Reese at umayos ng upo. "What's the reason behind your drinking last night? It even got you really drunk."

"Oh, I had a drinking party with my batchmates during university." Sagot ni Severus sa tanong niya, "I'm sorry I forgot to message you about it."

Napatango-tango si Reese. "I'm not mad about you drinking, but I'm actually mad with the fact that you were with your former lover and she also was the one who sent you home really, really drunk last night. I guess Mr. Lim really enjoyed the party." Sarcasm was all over Reese's voice.

Tila napalunok si Severus sa sinabi ni Reese at binaba ang hawak na kutsara at tinidor.

"Ah, you knew about Lily? I'm sorry, I didn't know that she was the one who sent me home."

"It would be really fine --- never mind." Reese sighed and she massaged her temple.

Reese sounded like a nagging wife and getting angry over her husband's drinking issue. This is really insane!

"Don't worry," Panimula ni Severus. "I already promised you, even if I love you or not I will be faithful. You won't have to worry about anything and just be confident in being by my side."

Napayuko si Reese at bumuntong hininga.

"Yes, I know."

"I assume that Butler Mo already told you about my relationship with Lily back then." Wika nito at dahan-dahan na sumandal sa kinauupuan. "Am I right?"

Reese lifted her head and looked at Severus, she stared at him straight in his eyes.

"Does it matter if Butler Mo told me about it?" Mahinang wika ni Reese at nag-iwas ng tingin.

Severus gave a sigh. "I just don't want you to misunderstand the future situation. I just want you to know that Lily's no one to me now, she's now just an acquaintance."

Reese smiled and gave a chuckle.

She remembered how she took care of her issue with her own mother and that --- Lily. it was as if they teamed up to put her in shame, not only her but the Lim family's name too.

"It would definitely trouble me if I would misunderstand something between the two of you." Reese said honestly, "Thank you for telling me."

Reese was startled when she heard Severus coughing, without even thinking she took the glass of water and gave it to him.

Severus took the water and drank it.

He gave a sigh and he laughed as if nothing happened, he almost choked with the food he was eating.

"You still have time to eat your lunch. Huwag ka magmadali." Matawa-tawang wika ni Reese at bumalik sa kinauupuan.

"Yes, thank you…" Mahinang wika ni Severus at pinunasan ang gilid ng labi niya gamit ang tissue na nasa lamesa.

Reese wishes that things would normal go on like this --- but she can't always have what she wishes.
