Hazel had fun listening to Eva go on. She was a very humorous storyteller; as a writer it must come with the territory.

She had never met anyone like her but she supposed it was her own limited experience. Having only ever lived in two fairly close areas of the country, she hadn't realized how different life could be for people in other states. Georgia seemed almost like another planet.

After a while, when she realized she hadn't contributed enough, Hazel told stories about life as a starving artist and all of the things she had done to try and earn a paycheck over the years. It was a natural thing to do once the topic switched to the woes of crazy customers at Eva's job.

She honestly couldn't remember the last time she talked to someone other than Will like this. It was actually kind of fun.
