Wanna go bowling?

As the battle ensued, almost none had noticed the eyes of the Guards that had been protecting the children go dull, their arms went slack as their weapons dropped from their hands, causing the children to give them confused looks.

Mathias, Bartosz, and Eskel where the only ones to notice this, Barnock was too busy restraining himself while concentrating on the battle and the other guardsman were more worried about the enemy than the state of their allies.

That's why, when a portal opened up behind the children an the nearby guardsman started to drag some towards it, it was the trio that leapt into action in-order to stop it.

Mathias quickly launched a few non-lethal spells at the guards as they'd probably been possessed. Eskel seemed to have a similar idea as he thrust his hand forth while using the Aard sign, toppling over some of the guards and children with a shockwave to delay their retreat.

Bartosz himself was ignoring the children and guardsman while throwing large dark red fireballs into the portal in an attempt to kill the mage who opened it. It seemed to be working at first, as when the first fireball passed through the portal shuddered and rippled a bit before stabilising again... He assumed he'd hit the Mage but they'd moved out of the way to avoid the others afterwards.

Clicking his tongue he sprints towards the portal, intent on going through it and butchering the bastards responsible for abducting his citizens. Mathias sees this and figures he might'as well follow, the other side of the portal might just lead him to Tyrael after all. He teleports next to the portal and steps in a couple seconds before Bartosz does.

Eskel himself was too concerned about stopping the children being abducted and knocking out the possessed guards, they didn't put up much of a fight as they were singularly focussed on picking up the children and dragging them into the portal.

However, after Mathias and Bartosz entered it, the portal closed behind them, sealing them and whoever is responsible for the attack inside.

On the otherside of the portal Mathias was greeted with a strange site... He was in a strange room with no walls, only pillars holding it up and a large bell hanging in the middle. When he glances behind him past a railing, he notices that he can see the tops of every building in Vergerberg...

Mathias "The Bell Tower?" he mutters, feeling like he's mistaken as the belltower shouldn't be this large. Like it's bigger on the inside?

"You!" a voice calls, drawing his attention to them... He spots a robed person standing in front of a ritual circle... Inside it lays 46 unconscious children and teens, aswell as a familiar person in the middle of it... Tyrael.

Mathias glares at them as Bartosz walks into his back after stepping through the portal. "So you're the one abducting all these people?" he asks, even know the answer is obvious.

The person snorts, "Oh? What clued you in on that!?" he asks sarcastically, "Fool, you will not interrupt my plans, mistress has trusted me to perform it without issue, and that's what I shall do!" they exclaim, pulling a wand from their belt.

Bartosz "Hm? A wizard? I wonder how you managed to get out of Ichor without Harry kicking yer ass?" he asks mockingly.

The robed man sneers at him from under his hood, "You think I was taught in that Hogwarts place? No. My Mistress has provided me enough knowledge, HARRY POTTER IS NOTHING TO ME!" he shouts in fury.

Mathias shakes his head, he'd seen one of Harry's creations already, if this man was capable of even one percent of what Harry can do, he'd be impressed. "State your name, I'll let Harry know you believed yourself superior before your death."

"My name is Nico Of Gustfields, the next Arch-Mage and ruler of the pathetic Holy Empire!"

Bartosz "HehehhahahahahHAHAHA! You fuckin' idiot! Do you really think knowin' a few wizard tricks is going to do anything against the Empire? You couldn't kill a Prospect, let alone the God-King!"

Nico "Shut your mouth! AVADA KEDAVRA!" he screams as he points his wand at Bartosz, firing off a green bolt that flies directly towards him.

Bartosz audibly snorts and swings his blade at it, the spell connects with his flaming sword and explodes into green sparks, achieving nothing. "What was that!? The spell equivalent of shittin' your pants?!" he taunts.

Nico seeing this pales slightly before roaring a few more spells in response to the taunt. Mathias raises his hands and causes a wall of earth to rise and block the curses, though, one of them had been a "Bombarda".

The wall explodes and shrapnel hits teh duo, causing many small cuts but no substantial damage.

Mathias "Is all the magic you know this stupid? Shouting out what you're about to do? Let me show you true magical might!" he says, thrusting his staff forwards and pointing it at Nico as a Disintegration Beam bares down on him.

Nico immediately conjures a see-through shield that somehow manages to block the attack, but finds himself quickly on the losing end of the confrontation... He notices Bartosz sprinting at him and knows he has to do something fast or get beheaded... He steps back and positions himself direction in-front of the children to make them wary of doing any large attacks and unleashes a magical explosion.

His shield explodes outwards, bushing the beam backwards a few meters before exploding and knocking Bartosz away. Nico prepares to shoot some more Killing Curses through the smoke but doesn't notice the flash of light behind him...

*WHACK!*

Mathias had teleported behind him while using the smoke as a distraction, in order to not alert him he simply smacked the wizard in the back of his head with his staff. Nico collapses to the floor unconscious, his task unfulfilled.
