Almost two weeks passed since Yun began to treat Guo Jia and today was the last day of his treatment. Guo Jia didn't feel much of a change from the first day but Yun assured him that it was done.
"You are completely healed now. Your wife will be more than grateful to hear that. Also if one of your children starts to show the same symptoms bring him immediately to me," says Yun surprising Guo Jia who looked at him confused.
"What do you mean?" asks Guo Jia confused since he wasn't into medicine.
"They could inherit your disease even after me curing you. Just bring them immediately when they show symptoms so I can take care of them right away. It will save me and them the time that we could use for other things," says Yun telling Guo Jia to bring them in as soon as they show symptoms since Guo Jia's children could inherit his illness even with him having now a healthy body.
"I will do so," says Guo Jia grateful before giving Yun a slight bow and leaving the office.
Yun returned to finish everything he needed to take his father's ashes back to Zhending. He already has a carriage and the supplies ready and the route was also already planned they would take.
Yun would travel disguised as a traveling doctor while Zhen Luo would pose as his young wife until they arrived at Xiapi.
He called Zhen Luo to his office who arrived after half an hour since her future mother and sister-in-law were dressing her up for the incoming wedding between Hua and Taiyin since Yun made it quite clear that they would be married next year when she was finally eighteen winters old.
"You called for me," says Zhen Luo respectfully toward Yun who stopped her.
"You can speak normally to me," says Yun as he places his hand on the chair that was across from his chair behind his desk.
Zhen Luo sits down and Yun walks toward his chair and sits down before saying, "I wanted to inform you that we will be leaving tomorrow in the morning. I and you will be using pseudonyms while traveling. I will be Zhang Feng and you will be Zhen Ji. This way it won't be suspicious when we enter Lunu to visit your family."
"Can I ask you something important?" asks Zhen Luo a bit nervous as Yun gestures to her to ask him and she says, "Can we take my family with us to Xiapi? I would feel more secure if they were at arm-length away since they wouldn't be held as prisoners in the future to make me do something against you or your family."
This was something Yun didn't think about the whole time. What if his enemies were to take her parents as hostages to make her do something against him. Yun now knew that she wasn't only thinking about herself but also about his family even if it was just slightly.
"I will see to that," says Yun thinking that Zhen Luo was right about it.
It was a potential threat that could place his family in danger if Zhen Luo is forced to act against him when he sighs out loud holding his head when Zhen Luo asks, "Is everything alright?"
"Yes, I am fine. I am more worried about the news I received last week. It seems the eldest son of one of my friends is sick," says Yun sharing this information with Zhen Luo wanting to see what she was going to suggest to him.
"Didn't you treat Guo Jia, why can't you treat him as well?" asks Zhen Luo confused when Yun smiled at her.
"I and his son aren't really on good terms and his father died some years back in an ambush I warned him about beforehand. Also, my daughter is going to marry his younger brother sooner or later," says Yun informing Zhen Luo about the situation which she analyzed fast.
"Is it a big family?" asks Zhen Luo seriously as Yun nods at her.
"To be exact it is the family governing the southeast of the empire, the Sun Clan," says Yun making Zhen Luo look at him in disbelief.
"How did yo-" says Zhen Luo when Yun interrupts her.
"Sun Jian recruited me to fight for Yuan Shu during the days of the Coalition against Dong Zhuo. We became friends and I entrusted something important to him with the promise that once Sun Quan and Mulan were of age they would meet each other. They met and we came to the conclusion that they will be married off in the future," says Yun informing Zhen Luo of the matter when she looked at Yun confused since Mulan was a year if not at least two years younger than herself.
"Before you say something, no they aren't getting married yet, and yes we are talking about Sun Ce laying on his possible deathbed right as we are speaking," says Yun again informing her.
"Then let him die," says Zhen Luo cold and calculative making Yun smirk at her.
"Why do you now decide to let him die when a moment ago you wanted to save him?" asks Yun trying to poke at the obvious.
"You know why don't play dumb. I might be young but not dumb. It would profit you if Sun Ce dies and Sun Quan takes over which would make Mulan the wife of the head of the Sun Clan. This would also mean...," says Zhen Luo when she realized something crucial about Yun looking at him in disbelief.
"You are going to betray Cao Cao in the future!" shouts Zhen Luo connecting the dots while hitting the desk with her palms while jumping from her seat.
"I am not," says Yun seriously as he stands up as well before saying, "I am in a contract with Cao Cao which will end quite soon. I and my army will be moving south leaving the Xu Province to Cao Cao while we join Sun Quan. It will happen quite soon but first I need to see to something else."
"You mean Yuan Shao?" asks Zhen Luo as Yun shakes his head.
"No, he will die sooner or later on the wounds I inflicted upon him even the Miracle Docter Hua Tuo won't be able to help him," says Yun when Zhen Luo looks at him annoyed wanting to know the truth.
Yun was seeing a bit of Pang Tong in Zhen Luo making him chuckle a bit before saying, "That is my secret to bear for now."
Yun didn't trust Zhen Luo that much to reveal everything to her as he would with Pang Tong or the others before seeing a whip strapped to her belt and he asks, "Did my mother teach you how to fight with a whip yet?"
"She hasn't, she is planning two weddings, which makes it difficult to teach me. For now, she only gave me this whip to practice on my own," says Zhen Luo telling Yun the truth.
"Well, at least it will intimidate some men from attacking you," says Yun before he calls a servant inside who was carrying two sets of simple clothes.
"Those are your clothes for our trip since we would get too much attention wearing our normal clothes," says Yun as Zhen Luo looked at them closely.
They looked simple from the outside with some stain marks here and there but nothing got through to the inside when Yun says, "They must look believable to the people since we are traveling it is normal to have some stain marks on them."
"I can deal with those clothes. I myself lived with hand-me-downs of my sisters not because we were poor but to save money," says Zhen Luo taking the clothes from the servant before another servant brings some clothes which Yun will be wearing.
Zhen Luo looked at them and saw that they were even worse than the clothes she just received looking completely ragged with stain marks all over them which looked like dried blood.
"A doctor gets easily dirty and washing the stains off would make the clothes more ragged since they would be cleaned more often than needed. The only problem will be your hands but we can say that I wash my clothes myself to not risk you getting a disease from the blood covering them," says Yun before putting them to the side.
"Which route are we going to take?" asks Zhen Luo wanting to know it.
"We will be going all around through Luoyang, Huguan, then through Zhan before arriving at Zhending. From there we will go to Lunu, Xindu then through Pingyuan to finally enter the Yan Province again at Lu. Once there we won't have to hide our identity since we would be in Xiahou Dun's territory," says Yun making Zhen Luo look at him confused.
"You sure that it will be safe to reveal ourselves in Lu already and not back in the Xu Province?" asks Zhen Luo a bit nervous since Yun told her that he will be betraying Cao Cao just some moments ago.
"Most of Xiahou Dun's soldiers served under me for a while. I hope they don't forget who saved their lives back when they were under my command," says Yun believing that they wouldn't attack him.
"If you say so but I would have kept our presence hidden until we reached Bo or Changlu. I would feel safer knowing that we are closer to your territory than anyone else's," says Zhen Luo trying to convince Yun to do as she requests.
"You almost sound like Pang Tong there," says Yun confusing Zhen Luo since she only got a glimpse of Pang Tong for now when she hears, "Fine we won't reveal ourselves until we reach Changlu. You have a good head on your shoulder just going by the conversation we had today. I hope you use it wisely while we are on our journey. You can go now and don't forget tomorrow morning we are leaving."
"I won't forget that," says Zhen Luo before leaving the room.
Then a secret door opens to Yun's left which is hidden behind his bookshelf. Pang Tong comes out of it and walks towards Yun before sitting down across from him.
"Are you sure it was wise to tell her about you betraying Cao Cao in the future?" asks Pang Tong rhetorically which made Yun chuckle.
"It wasn't but I want to find out if I can trust her. If she can keep this secret it will show me that I can," says Yun calmly when Pang Tong looks at him seriously.
"And if she doesn't?" asks Pang Tong earnestly making Yun turn cold.
"Then she will experience something that even Yuan Shao hasn't experienced before she dies," says Yun coldly making the blood in Pang Tong freeze up from hearing Yun say that.
"At least you have already something in mind if she were to betray your trust then I won't meddle in this affair," says Pang Tong feeling secure that Yun would deal with Zhen Luo if she were to betray him.
"Once you arrive at Xiapi, I want you to send Lu Bu to Guangling to reinforce the city. I want him to make the city impenetrable in the coming years since we won't be joining any great battles until we leave Cao Cao's side," says Yun making Pang Tong look at him confused.
"Then why reinforce Guangling if we are going to leave Cao Cao to join the Sun Clan?" asks Pang Tong when it fell upon him making him laugh out loud.
"Oh, you really are sly. You want to keep Guangling as the last line of defense against Cao Cao so he can't advance to Jianye through the north," says Pang Tong seeing through Yun while having an evil smile on his face.
"We won't leave Cao Cao's side until a given moment. When that moment comes we will strike fast without him even knowing what is going on," says Yun with an evil smile on his face as well before both burst out laughing as if they were supervillains.
