Preparing to Leave

Three days passed since Yun returned home. He was enjoying the quiet life for a bit as his troops were training outside the city.

"How do you see them?" asks Tang Shi who was beside Yun.

"I see a growing force but I will have to leave to recruit some people," says Yun as Tang Shi was confused.

"I thought we would recruit men from around Zhending," says Tang Shi as Yun nods.

"You will be recruiting people that come to Zhending after we spread that we are looking for people to join our ranks," says Yun making Tang Shi sigh.

"So I have to work while you are out there," says Tang Shi as Yun smiles.

"See it as my wedding gift from you. That way you will just need to carry the sedan later on," says Yun as he laughed at Tang Shi.

"When are you leaving?" asks Tang Shi as he wanted to know.

"We are leaving tomorrow," says Yun as Tang Shi was confused again.

"We?" asks Tang Shi as Yun nods.

"My future wife wants to come with me. And she learned how to defend herself so I think it is alright for her to join me," says Yun as Tang Shi was surprised.

"The madam must be really afraid that you are going out to enjoy yourself," says Tang Shi as a joke.

"I think so too," says Yun as he agreed while smiling.

"Anyway, if a woman tries to get recruited you give her the same test that you give the man. I don't discriminate as long as they can follow orders and aren't afraid to dirty themselves with blood and intestines," says Yun as Tang Shi nods.

"Everything will go as you ordered," says Tang Shi as Yun leaves his side since he had to prepare for tomorrow.

'If I remember correctly must Dian Wei be in the Yu or Yan province while Huang Zhong should be serving under Liu Biao as the General of the Household. He must be living in the capital which is Xiangyang,' thinks Yun as he returned home.

"What are you thinking about?" asks Hua who finds Yun thinking about something.

"I will be leaving with Diao Chan to Xiangyang. I want to recruit someone into my troops. For that, I need to go to Xiangyang," says Yun as Hua was holding his chin thinking about what Yun said.

"He must be strong if you want him under you," says Hua as Yun looked at Hua and smiles.

"He is strong but not as strong as my little brother. Just keep training what I taught you and you should become stronger," says Yun as Hua nods.

They walk down the hall as they went towards the kitchen. There Yun ordered to pack some dried food for him and Diao Chan so they had food for the trip.

"Is it really wise to take Diao Chan with you? I think that you alone would be faster," says Hua as Yun smiles.

"If it was were my decision, I would agree but it isn't mine. She decided that she would come with me so we return in time for the wedding. I tried on the clothes and they fit. We should return i less than three weeks," says Yun as he walked in front of Hua.

They walked into the office finding Zhao Xian filling his reports for the county inspector so he knows how many men they lost fighting the Yellow Turbans.

"Shouldn't you be with your woman?" asks Zhao Xian not even looking up as he knew who entered his office.

"She is with mother and Qing. We are leaving tomorrow after all," says Yun as he sits down in front of his father.

"I was looking into what you asked from me," says Zhao Xian as Yun looked excited at him.

"And?" asks Yun excited.

"There is a house in which you can move into that is big enough for you two and a servant," says Zhao Xian as he looked at his oldest son.

"Are you sure about this?" asks Zhao Xian as Yun nods.

"I still need to ask her before I can give you the ok," says Yun as Xian looked confused while scratching his head.

"You know that it is your decision. The woman has to follow that decision as do your men," says Zhao Xian as he knew that his son saw the genders as equal but this could make him look weak.

"I know what you mean father but it is her decision as it is mine," says Yun as his head was still in the 21st century.

"Well, I hope you decide soon since the house could be sold tomorrow," says Zhao Xian as Yun nods.

"Well, if it is sold then destiny didn't want me in that house," says Yun as he looked at his father seriously.

"Did you send the letter?" asks Yun as Zhao Xian nods.

"It should be in Ding Yuan's possession in some days," says Zhao Xian as Yun nods.

"I should leave then," says Yun as he stands up.

"You know that you can stay here as long as you want. You aren't a border to us," says Zhao Xian as Yun smiles.

"I know but I need this. And it isn't like we will move to another city," says Yun as he looked at his father before leaving the room.

"So you want to move out. Normally the firstborn would inherit everything," says Hua as Yun sighs.

"I want to move out because I don't want to cling too much on the material that surrounds me. Remember what my dream is?" asks Yun as Hua sighs.

"Being a mercenary. But you are now a general under the Emperor. You can't just leave that position," says Hua as Yun shakes his head.

"In three years you will understand why I want to be a mercenary," says Yun as Hua looked confused at his brother.

"What will happen in three years?" asks Hua curious about what his brother was thinking.

Yun looked serious as they walked down the hall. He looked around to see if someone was around since what he was to say could get his family killed.

"The Emperor will die and the Eunuchs will rebel because the young Emperor gives his uncle more power than them. After the rebellion, all Eunuchs are dead as is the young Emperor's uncle and a tyrant will take over the Dragon Throne while using the Emperor as a puppet ruler," says Yun seriously making Hua stop in his track while turning pale from what Yun said.

"That can't be true. I know that you told me about the Yellow Turban Rebellion before it started but this is impossible," says Hua as Yun turned around.

"Have I ever lied to you?" asks Yun as Hua couldn't deny that.

"Then you know who the Tyrant is?" asks Hua as Yun nods.

"Yes, in fact, I even met him in Luoyang. He brought Huntress to the Imperial City and he is a strong man. Not as strong as us but strong enough to take over the Imperial Court," says Yun as he thought that Athena was right.

Flashback to his time with Athena

"You shouldn't trust everything the textbooks say when it talks about Tyrants. They are mostly wrong like this man for example," says Athena bringing out a book talking about Dong Zhuo.

"It says that he bribed his way up. But he couldn't be appointed as a General if he doesn't have the strength behind him to become one. The same can be said about other people that are depicted as him. Many of them were strong people or they wouldn't be able to keep everyone in line," says Athena as Arthur was looking at her interested in the topic.

"You should also take a good look at the heroes not everything that is passed down is the truth like this fellow here," says Athena pointing out Lu Bu.

"He was known for two things. The first is for being the God of War of his time and that he betrayed the people he served. But did he really betray them or was he just doing the best for the people?" says Athena as Arthur looked at her.

"What is better killing one man or killing millions of them?" asks Athena as Arthur could answer that easily.

"Killing one man of course," answers Arthur as Athena nods.

"That's right, but back then it wasn't looked good on and is considered as assassination. He killed both his adopted fathers to avoid big wars that could kill many people," says Athena as Arthur had a question now.

"Why did he betray Liu Bei then?" asks Arthur as Athena could understand that question.

"Liu Bei left his younger brother, Zhang Fei, behind in Xiapi. It was said that Zhang Fei was only drinking and looking for fights. Lu Bu thought that Zhang Fei wasn't a proper governor while Liu Bei was away and this made Lu Bu also think that Liu Bei isn't ready to be a governor since he left someone like Zhang Fei in charge," says Athena as Arthur could picture it in his mind.

"What would have happened if Zhang Fei wasn't in charge of Xiapi?" asks Arthur as Shura entered the room.

"Lu Bu wouldn't have rebelled against Liu Bei making Liu Shan, Liu Bei's son, Emperor of China," says Shura as he walked towards a shelf and took a book out that he took with him.

"Keep learning you will need all the knowledge of everything she is teaching you," says Shura as he leaves the room again.

Flashback ends

They arrived at Diao Chan's room as they hear voices coming from inside. Yun knocks on the door and his mother calls them inside. Once inside Yun and Hua find their mother and sister helping Diao Chan putting some hunting gear that Madam Su would normally wear when she joins Zhao Xian in hunting.

Diao Chan was in a hunting gear that showed her curves more than the clothes she normally wears. She had her hair in a knot that ended in a ponytail. The knot was hold together with an ornament that Madam Su gifted Diao Chan.

Diao Chan was having a whip on her left side of the belt while a short sword on the right side. She looked like a warrior princess in those clothes which made Yun horny wanting to strip her naked but he controlled himself since he only had to wait for less than a month.
