Black Dragon Souls

They arrived at Lu Zhi's camp with the troops from Changshan Commandery as a colonel was awaiting them to guide them to their camp.

Many people fight because of the unrest while others just ignore it while Lu Zhi made clear that this doesn't happen by separating the troops from each Commandery under him.

"I will go now with the colonel and inform Lu Zhi about how many we are do you want to come as well?" asks Zhao Xian as he wanted his son to get some experience on how to behave around higher-ups.

"Alright," says Zhao Yun as he dismounted Thunder and told the stablemaster not to touch his horse because he would get killed by it.

Then he followed his father and the colonel towards a tent where a table with small maps of the area were laid down with people around it.

"It seems the last troops arrived good," says an older man that was in the middle of everyone.

"Yes, we came from the main camp after reporting in," says Zhao Xian as he bowed to the older man with Zhao Yun.

"You are welcome to join me since you are from beside Julu and Wei. You as locals might know some secret ways to get there," says the older man as the two joined the war table.

"The Marshall wants to deal with this fast so the Eunuchs can't do more damage than they already did," says the older man for Zhao Yun it was clear that the man was Lu Zhi by now since no one talked back to him.

"We know that the rebels are hiding in Julu to be exact in Guangzong county around here. We will purge them out fast and precisely starting with Wei Commandery while sieging in Julu Commandery," says Lu Zhi when he pointed where they will attack when he looked at Zhao Xian and says, "You are from Changshan so you know the terrain of Julu best."

"Yes, my lord," says Zhao Xian as Lu Zhi pointed at the map.

"I want you and your men to siege Guangzong county separating the rebels in the North from the middle while I deal with Wei cutting the middle from the south once this is done we only have to wait for their provisions to run low and we should be able to win without much of a trouble," says Lu Zhi as he planned everything perfectly.

"What if we find a way to seize the city they are occupying?" asks Zhao Yun all of a sudden making the Veterans around the table laugh while Lu Zhi saw this as a good question.

"If that is the case take it and purge the rebels out of it. This will demoralize them and once news arrives everywhere that their capital fell it would be easier since that meant we have their leader in our hands," says Lu Zhi as he liked that Zhao Yun not only had the body but also a mind to be a General in the future.

"Zhao Xian, I want that you give that man a little platoon of fifty men. It would give him some experience in leading people," says Lu Zhi surprising the people around the war table.

"I will do so," says Zhao Xian happy that his son was promoted quite fast from a normal soldier to a platoon leader.

"We are moving out tonight so the enemy doesn't see our movement," says Lu Zhi as everyone nods.

They leave the tent as everyone was preparing to leave right away. Zhao Yun didn't even have time to know the fifty men that were now under him.

They marched into Julu over the night while the bigger army went to Wei. Zhao Xian was leading the Changshan troops as they camped in a nearby forest to hide their presence.

This gave Zhao Yun time to know the men under him. He had to pick a second-in-command if something were to happen to him.

He picked Tang Shi. He was in his late twenties not like the others that were almost the same age or a little older than Zhao Yun. He also seemed to have experienced a battle before making him the perfect candidate. He has short black hair with brown eyes that were calm.

"Zhao Yun, your father wants to meet you," says a messenger that arrived.

He walks with the messenger while being confused about what his father might want when a knife suddenly came out of nowhere towards his body.

He tried to dodge the knife but it would have been too late so he blocked it using his arm. The knife and the armor made contact and sparks flew in the air from the collision.

Zhao Yun then grabs the neck of the traitor with one hand and with the other he holds the wrist so he couldn't try it again.

The knife falls to the ground and Zhao Yun uses more force on the neck out of anger and killed the traitor. When he realized what he did his stomach was revolving itself while blood dripped out of the traitor's mouth onto his armor.

He let's go of the traitor as he walked towards a tree and puked his meal out while thinking, 'I should be happy that it happened now and not on the battlefield.'

He went to see his father after cleaning his mouth with water and a bit of wine so his father and the others wouldn't know that he puked when he noticed that the blood on the armor disappeared.

'Why is the blood gone. I haven't cleaned it away,' thinks Zhao Yun when he suddenly stopped.

He felt danger as he turned around but nothing was there when suddenly everything turned black and he finds himself surrounded by eight Dragons.

'Where am I?' thinks Zhao Yun as the Dragons were all sealed in Black Chains.

"You are in your own armor," says one of the Dragons as Zhao Yun was surprised when he remembered what Shura said about the armor being made by using a star and eight Dragon Souls.

"So you are the souls of the Dragons?" asks Zhao Yun as they tried to move but the chains were keeping them in check.

"We are but we aren't the only ones that he used. You didn't realize that every weapon he gave you was made by using a star and at least a Dragon Soul. We are the only ones that you meet because you sacrificed blood to us," says the Dragon again.

"That means the more blood on the armor-," says Zhao Yun when the Dragon interrupts.

"The faster we are freed," says the Dragon as he didn't like Zhao Yun at all because Shura likes him.

"Once we are free we will eat you and search for a worthy wearer of this armor," says the Dragon when everything disappeared again from Zhao Yun's eyes.

He was back in the camp as the people were confused about why he was standing there the whole time as if he was lost. He walked again ignoring the people as he entered the main tent to meet his father.

"Yun, what do you want?" asks Zhao Xian as he sees that his son was out of himself.

"We had a traitor. He tried to kill me in the woods saying that you wanted to meet me," says Zhao Yun as Zhao Xian was worried now.

If they infiltrated the camp that would mean they know that they split the army to take Wei before going to Julu while they are just a distraction.

"Is the traitor alive for questioning?" asks Zhao Xian as Zhao Yun shakes his head.

"No, I killed him out of rage. I'm sorry about that," says Zhao Yun as he really was his rage took the best out of him.

"Then we need to act rapidly to show that we aren't just a distraction for the main force in Wei," says Zhao Xian as he was nervous about the whole affair.

"What do you mean?" asks Yun as his father looked at him.

"If we don't show aggression they will know that we don't have the intention of fighting and make us a target to attack. They have more men than us making it even more dangerous," says Xian as he takes out a map.

"We need to attack here right away so they can't divide their troops," says Xian pointing at Guangzong.

"I want you and your men inside the city as civilians. Go there in poor clothes and say that you want to join the rebels. They would be foolish to let this opportunity pass. Use Heng Hua as a pseudonym," says Xian explaining the plan.

"Once in sent us a message with Shadow. Then wait for ten days and we will attack. Once chaos breaks out your fifty men will try to get the head of Zhang Jiao. Do you understand?" says Xian as Yun nods.

"But what if we can't get to him?" asks Yun as his father closed his eyes to think.

"Then you do nothing and wait again for the next day and the day after. We are putting them on siege until you have his head. But you don't only need Zhang Jiao's head but also his brother's heads as well," says Xian explaining that the rebel wouldn't stop until all the Zhang brothers were down.

"I will see what can be done," says Yun as he leaves the camp to inform his men about it.

He arrives and walks towards Tang Shi and asks, "How are they?"

"Lively since one of the Zhao Monsters is their captain. What did the commander want?" asks Tang Shi nervous about it.

"He wants us to infiltrate the city that the rebels use as a capital," says Zhao Yun as Tang Shi's eyes opened wide in disbelief.

"So he wants us to commit suicide," says Tang Shi nervous.

"If we pull it off right we might be heroes after the dust settled," says Zhao Yun as Tang Shi sighs.

"I would be just fine with returning to my wife," says Tang Shi as Zhao Yun chuckled hearing that.

"I wish, I had someone to love," says Zhao Yun as Tang Shi looked at him angrily.

"You have many women that would marry you any day just choose one already," says Tang Shi as Zhao Yun was remembered of his mother who said the same thing to him over and over again.

"But it wouldn't be love but just a person to fill the emptiness. I couldn't do that to that woman always showing her the cold shoulder," says Zhao Yun as Tang Shi realized why Zhao Yun hadn't picked a woman yet.

"Well take your time then. It was thanks to you rejecting my wife that I married anyway. Many other people like me will appreciate it as well," says Tang Shi as Zhao Yun began to laugh again before informing his fifty men about the mission they got.
