Recognizing one of the guardsmen who had let him pass through the gates from yesterday, James frowned.
Yes, Saidia said that they were here for him, because he woke her from the fairy ether, but from the commotion it seemed that they were also here for the princess's betrothed.
Hearing a knock on the door, he then walked to it and opened the door, coming face to face with the guardsmen who had recognized him along with a bunch of others.
"Hello, Lord Arcoin. " Said the guard as he then bowed. "I am here on behalf of the King of the Black Blood Empire, Justine the Eighth, Protector of the Black Lands, and would like you to answer one question. Do you know who Saidia is?"
James smiled. "I do. She's a fairy." He said as he then put his hands in his pockets as the Guard with a surprised look blinked his eyes.
"Well, as the princess and the king are waiting for you, we will bring you to them, my lord, along with your belongings. The guard said as he turned around. "Please, can you come with us?"
James sighed. Of course, he wanted to stay on a low profile, but because of the King of the Black Blood Empire, he had to abandoned his plans. "Sure, but I have no luggage for you to carry." He said and closed the door and walked with them to the castle.
______
Inside the castle throne room sat the king, with his crown. Next to him, stood his wife, in black robe wearing a dark blue dress. On their left stood the king's daughter, in a red dress.
Suddenly the gigantic doors opened, as James Arcoin came in, followed by the guardsmen. "Hello, King Justine the Eighth, I am Lord James Arcoin, the last of my family. May I know why the king called for me?" James said as he knelt.
"Rise." The king said. "I know of your fairy, Saidia, the forgotten Queen of Fairies. My great grandmother, Empress Joanne would like to speak with her." He said as he smiled.
" Also I would like to give my daughter, Elizabeth, to you as well."
James smiled at the king. " My king, although I'm flattered by your requests, I can agree to the first, but as for the second, I prefer not, as I request before I tell you why, you shall not kill me because of my bloodline."
Justine the Eighth looked at James puzzled, as he thought James would say yes in an instant for his daughter. "Sure." He said as he looked at her and then back to James, puzzled as to why he would refuse to marry his daughter, and dismissed his guards.
"You may speak now." The king said as he then repositioned himself in his throne.
"Thank you, your majesty. My bloodline comes from a demon, of which I do not know of. But it is of very ancient blood that can not be recognized by none of our world that I know of. It comes with bloodline weapons as well, but as your majesty knows in the kingdom from where I come, the Holy Red Empire, anyone with demon blood shall be killed. Thus, I came to your kingdom for refuge as I have nowhere else to go, as I also can not be called by my name."
The King smiled as he looked at James Arcoin. "Thus, I should harbor you? I see that you are very persistent in your goal and as you are right now can not go further. Thus I will make a deal with you. Marry my daughter, and I will give you a new name, bring you status. You may even marry her and leave to finish your conquest and then come back, as I see in you potential that will surpass all mortals of our own world and beyond."
James swallow hard. "Then I will marry your daughter, King Justine."
"I refuse to marry you! " Elizabeth, Justine's daughter said as she then threw a knife at James' head. The knife flew threw towards James and then suddenly stopped as he caught it. She then smiled " Unless, that is if you can beat me. All your skills you can use, as I will as well. The first one to touch the floor will lose." She said as she then floated to where James stood.
So then they both fought each other. One hour passed and then the second, and soon it had been thirteen hours. Both were becoming exhausted and it soon ended with James suddenly passing out on her chest. Screaming, she landed on the floor with James on top of her.
As the King smiled, he declared to his daughter and new to be son in law, that James had won the fight.
